Job description:To repair damaged lintel and stone sides to fireplace. Old fireplace taken out, back to original but original damaged. Lintel not cracked just chunk knocked out in middle. I would consider repair (piecing-in or specialist mortar repair) or because the missing chunk is out of the middle the lintel could be carved to look as though is is part of the design. Side stones could probably be easily made to look better. Thank you.
