Job description:We need some work carrying out as part of a large project we are undertaking refurbishing a customer's barn conversion (barn converted 20+ years ago, being re-furbished now). We are the development company and this would be a sub-contract job to our larger project. The work is : 1) Removing a door/frame and blocking in a doorway in stone (outer) and block (inner) with insulation, ties etc. Stone is aleady bought and on-site, may need some pieces cutting with Stil saw. Mortar can be sand & cement but pointing is to be in lime pointing mix. 2) Removing one window and blocking up opening to a higher cill level than at present, details as above 3) Removing a door and blocking to approx. 1m up, details as above 4) Hacking out existing sand and cement mortar from a random stone gable end, approx. 7m long x 8m high overall and re-pointing with lime pointing. You will need to scaffold this. We require very good quality work and only people with at least two excellent reviews on this website for stone-related work should buy this lead please. Budget is in the region of £2,500 incl. your labour, materials (sand/cement, lime pointing mix, blocks etc) and scaffolding.
