Job description:Conversion of a barn. I am looking at buying a piece of land to keep horses. There is an unconverted barn on the land (it has detailed planning permission) so I would like a rough estimate on the cost of building work - if I decided to convert it at some point. I have a plumber and a joiner who could do the finishing work on it. I realise that without the detailed plans, this is difficult to estimate but really, I would just like to know the kind of sum that I would be looking at so I can decide whether to buy just with a view to using the land or whether to budget for the barn as well. The barn is advertised here leahoughandco.co.uk/properties-for-sale-rent.php (it is park farm). You can't see from the photograph but the roof on the rear building needs replacing.
