Job description:I am in the process of purchasing a 1st floor flat (c. 1890) - the Homebuyer's Survey turned up wet rot on some of the windows. Some are worse than others, though the survey wasn't very specific. I would like an estimate for repair/ replacement of the current windows so that I can pass this on to the seller. He may or may not agree to pay for it, but regardless it would have to be done, even if we cover the cost after purchase. Still we would like to know what kind of cost we are dealing with. We would want to keep the current wood framed windows if possible - not too keen on doubleglazing!
