Job description:I live in Headington and my semi-detached house has a quite old mono-pitch conservatory needing repair. It's on the North side of the property and it forms the boundary with my neighbour. About half the roof panes, which are in wired glass, are cracked or broken and a few of the trusses are rotting. I envisage replacement with twin-wall polycarbonate sheeting. The West end has a door into the garden whose frame and surround is rotting. I want to replace this with a reclaimed patio sliding double-door and frame which I've bought: the dimensions are exactly correct. The East end door and frame are in fair shape but may need some remedial work. While the roof is off, I want to take the chance for a roofing and guttering expert to make some minor repairs to the house roof above the conservatory (separate contract). I don't want this to be a complete replacement, but instead to maintain it on a keep-it-going-for-now basis. I'd like to get an estimate and to discuss how to integrate the roofing and guttering work. The contractor who will be estimating for this is likely to be coming on this Thursday 8th Sept in the afternoon or early evening. It would be helpful for the glazing estimator to come then too if possible. Budget estimate of around £2000 - £2500 excludes cost of materials and waste removal. Job overall should come in around £3000.
