Broken catch on window. Unable to open window in Walkley

Job description:I have a double glazed window in my bathroom, which pushes outwards and upwards from a hinge at the top of the window. It is opened using a handle which is positioned in the middle of the frame at the bottom of the window. The mechanism to release the catch on the left side of the window seems to be broken, as it will not open.
