"John came round to look at our bathroom in January, and said the quote would be in the post. Three weeks later, we had still not recieved his quote for the job, so I called and he said he'd sent it, but would send it again. When it came through, it was missing the tiling element and was not very comprehensive. I called and asked if he could re-quote to include the tiling, but he said it was included in the price. I still asked to have this in writing, but have yet to receive his full quotation for the works. I would have preferred him to just say he can't do the job or not to have contacted me in the first place if he wasn't serious about undertaking the work, as my job post was very clear as to my requirements. It would also have allowed a more reliable and genuine fitter the opportunity to quote."
