I need to do a quick refurb on a bathroom, including replacement of bathroom suite, taps and re-tiling of the bath area.
The suite, taps and tiles will be supplied so quote is for labour only.
Job was done quickly and the workman were punctual.
However, it was quickly apparent that corners had been cut. This resulted after a few days in the flat downstairs being flooded from my bathroom. The issue was the shower head was not connected properly and they had not sealed around the pipework which allowed water to flow down the back of the tiles.
6 month guarantee offered is a lie, as despite trying to contact the company on several occasions they were returned any calls/msgs.
DO NOT USE!Tony
Hi
This is the email I had from a handyman and wondered if you could quote for the same problem and maybe fit a new bathroom as well as fixing the current problems as described.
Can you give me a rough idea of costings and then maybe do a site visit after you have given me a rough costing from the info below. The bathroom is very small and it is old. The water is leaking from the shower on my floor and going downstairs.
I went to your flat today to look at the problem of water leaking from the shower into the flat below. Quite a lot of water leaks whenever a shower is taken in your flat which then end up downstairs. It has not done great damage to the ceiling below because water has been freely passing through cracks and not pooling in the ceiling. However, to prevent further damage and risk to the occupants below, the shower should not be used until repairs have been effected. I am afraid the condition of the shower is so serious that the only remedy is to rebuild it from the basin up to the layer of the dado rail. The lathe and plaster walls that the tiles have been stuck to is moving, as is the basin and this has produced numerous cracked and missing grout lines. Any repairs less than a rebuild could be expected to fail in a few months leading to further leakages into the flat below. I attach a quotation for this work, which would take at least a week. I should warn you that it is possible, if not likely, that structural timbers that will be revealed during the work will have suffered serious water damage. If that is the case we would inform you of the extra cost of remedying defects of this nature.
Thanks
Paul

One bathroom - needs shower fitted to bath, with shower glass on side, a tiled floor installed, and tiling around the bath/shower. Other bathroom - shower unit needs retiling, and a new shower head fitted.
David was great. Our bathrooms are transformed. He worked efficiently and professionally - our tiling in our bathrooms is now fabulous, and the showers are luxurious. David was adaptable and consulted us all the way through the work, when changes needed to be made. Wouldn't hesitate to hire David again and recommend him totally.Olivia

Mark did a great job fitting our bathroom. He was very experienced, reliable and efficient, and was extremely friendly and helpful with tasks outside his remit (e.g. helping us carry heavy tiles up to our flat or clearing a clogged exterior drain pipe). Mark had some great suggestions for correcting little niggles in the old layout of our bathroom to make everything look seamless, and offered useful suggestions on how we could save money when purchasing items. Based on his work on our bathroom, we brought him right back to tile our kitchen too. We had a few little issues that needed looking at after he completed the work, but Mark offers a 12mth guarantee on his work and has been round very promptly to fix any problems. I'd highly recommend Mark!Denise
I need a bathroom extractor fan fitted in SW2.
Its an old Victorian villa, so possibly thick walls. Ground floor though.
Bipin and his assistant were very helpful in explaining the practicalities of my job and in the end because of their very good advice in the cost / effectiveness argument we did not proceed with the work. Their invaluable experience meant that we did not spend money on something which would ultimately have been of little benefit. We have gone on to use R&B Properties for other work. Iain
We will supply tiles and fittings.
Wc with concealed cistern - wall hung. All fittings for shower to be concealed and boxed out behind tiling.
The team did a great job -even though work turned out to be more complex than originally thought and took longer- they kept the same price and saw it through. Benjamin

Adam and his team just finished doing our bathroom and we are very happy with the results!! He did a fantastic job communicating with us and managing any problems that cropped up. We were amazed by how hard working the team was! They really seemed to take pride in what they were doing and often gave us helpful tips. Our new bathroom is beautiful and we would highly recommend them! Many thanks!!Thomas
bathroom, bassin and WC will need to be removed as new one will be fitted. I'd also like the bathroom to be fully tiled, and the floor changed.
I couldn't get hold of this company, I do agree I couldn't meet him the first time but then I haven't had any news since. I would say overall MediocreRemi
My shower is leaking into the a cupboard downstairs (My flat is on the first floor). It seems to be leaking behind the wall where the plumbing is. I would like to use this opportunity to replace the bathroom as a whole as it is a little tired.

None of the fixtures will be moving, and I am going to keep the bath, but I'll be buying a new toilet, sink and shower panel. I'll also need a new bath panel and some repairs made to the extractor fan.
