Total overhaul of bathroom including electrics, ceiling, flooring, plumbing and installation. Small space.
Neil and Nick are both friendly and professional. Work was completed on time, within budget and an issue discovered after job completion was resolved quickly, efficiently and without additional cost. Their long guarantee on completed work is highly competitive.
Ashley from AD Plumbing did an excellent job fitting our new loo.
He was polite and helpful when booking the job and managed to fit in our job at short notice. When he came to do the work he worked quickly and the quality of finish was very high. He also left his workspace in the bathroom as clean and tidy as he found it.
In addition to this there was a problem with the flush that we had bought for Ashley to fit. Although this mistake was ours and not Ashley's he went out of his way to help find a solution.
I would certainly call on Ashley again next time we need plumbing work doing in the house and would gladly recommend him to anyone else.
Install 1 x basin, 1 x bath, 1 x extractor fan, 1 x mirror, 1 x shaver socket, 1 x shower in bath, 1 x tap, 1 x toilet Other services required: wall tiling Additional information: No bath at present, just a large walk-in shower unit which has been causing us no end of problems for some time, so we've decided to just get the bathroom completely overhauled with a proper makeover.
Bathroom is not too large - about 1.9m x 2.2m approx. with a large window on the right side as you enter through a standard door.
We would now like a quality, thickly-enamelled bath and the shower should go over the bath (we currently have a working shower above where a bath is likely to go - it takes hot water from the condensing boiler we had installed 2 years ago). The bathroom will need fully tiling on the walls and around the new bathroom furniture (no decision yet on their design/colour/size, but white or stone/sand will be one of the colours, I think).
All bathroom items and materials (the bath, bath panel, plugs, traps, piping, shower screen, electric extractor fan and piping to outside, toilet, pedestal, sink, taps, fittings, tiles, shaver point, toilet roll holder, sealant, grout, etc.) should be included in the quote if possible (especially if the fitter can get better prices than retail prices I would have to pay)!
We are keen to have a bath that's larger at one end where the shower goes to provide more room for showering with the taps at the end of the bath where the shower is on the wall. the bath will also need a protective screen which is shaped to the bath at that end. We would also need an electric extractor fan that is activated with the light switch and properly fitted safely. i suspect it will need to extract to the hopper outside the bathroom window of the house to collect the moisture (or whatever works best), but there is already an extractor fan in, but it has never led to any extraction - just into the loft itself!
Ideally, fitters should be able to provide photos of their previous work and all necessary materials to be provided for by the fitter within their quote. New carpet has recently been laid in the hall, stairs and landing, so workers will need to provide protective sheets in these areas to prevent damage to it going up and down the stairs as they work and removing old tiles, the toilet, basin, etc.
We are keen to get this work started ASAP for the right price and the right quote, as we have no way of bathing or showering at present in our home - hence the urgency.
Flooring is not essential yet, as we will do this at the end, but if it can be part of the quote (linoleum would be best, I think) to be a deal clincher, then that would be great.
