Requirement: Design advice & fitting to replace existing shower unit in an en-suite bathroom (please note that the rest of the bathroom - toilet & basin - are fine so not a requirement of this job). I have an existing fitted shower in a new-build flat. It's been there for almost 8 years, but has suffered a series of leaks, which have been patched up but then ultimately returned a year or two later. Clearly it was badly designed & installed from the outset (a Barratts 'rush job'), so I'd like to remove the existing shower and replace with a new unit. I require some design advice over the solution itself (including the units) to ensure that the combination of tray, screens and tiling fixes the problem and will also fit suitably within the bathroom - as it's an en-suite there are certain size restrictions. I'm also interested to consider an alternative to tiles (e.g. Mermaid panels) to see whether they may provide a better, longer-lasting solution. In addition to this I have some minor requirements to fix a light above the shower and part of the heated towel rail in the bathroom. Note: I can provide photos to help clarify the requirements of the job further.

Chris and his team did a great job on our bathroom. We have owned the property for just over one year. The bathroom had always been an unloved room - badly decorated and impractical. On consultation we gave Chris a rough idea of what we wanted. The plumbing needed changing to allow the bath and toilet to be moved. We also wanted the ceiling dropped and the whole decor modernised with fresh tiling and chrome finishes. Lifting up the floor exposed some pretty shoddy work from years ago. This needed more work than anticipated. Chris managed this excellently leaving us with a sold floor which will be fit for decades to come and supports the tiled floor perfectly. The furniture we purchased was fitted perfectly with a professional tiling job to boot. Little touches like keeping the like of tile divides symmetrical and tiling inside our under sink cupboard really put the quality edge we wanted on the room. Chris used good consultation throughout the work to understand how to turn our high level ideas into real designs, he even suggested some additional design features based on his previous experience (Eg. using tiles to make a skirting on a painted wall). It is always strange leaving strangers in your home when at work but we felt safe with Chris and his team. They cleaned up at the end of each day and would keep good records of funds that were paid in increments through the work. English is not Chris’s first language but he speaks clearly and enjoys improving his spoken English with clients. You’ll need to be aware of this when discussing design; at no point in time did it cause us a problem. Chris is coming back in a few weeks to fit the cupboard doors we have ordered. He suggested keeping a part of the last payment until this was completed. A good demonstration of his team’s integrity.

The current state of the bathroom is very poor. New loo, cistern, bath, shower and basin need to be provided. A shower needs to be installed and new lighting installed.

We are installing a new shower cabinet and replacement floor in our bathroom. We also need to rotate the basin by 90 degrees and install it on an adjacent wall. Tasks: - Renew both extractor fans, add humidity sensor - Refresh discoloured grouting around patch of wall tiles - Remove existing basin - Create waste and water stubs for new basin from existing fittings - Make good 18mm plywood floor (installed over joists) - Make good 9mm plywood covering, countersink screws every 12" (in preparation for installation of rubber flooring) - Install shower tray, connecting waste - Fit shower doors and cubicle frame - Install new pedestal basin, connecting to water and waste stubs - Make good tiling where old basin was removed (spare tiles available) - Install mirror cabinet above basin - Install loo roll holder, in-shower holder, towel rail and toilet brush holder (all wall-mounted) NOTE: Dalsouple rubber floor will be installed by separate fitter. Great price, very attentive and communicative, completed the work quickly. Installed a new shower, moved the basin, with all the changes to the pipework, regrouted tiles, installed new fixtures (towel rail, cabinet, etc). Very pleased with the result.

Would like a Starck 3 compact wall mounted toilet but will consider different wall mounted model is this increases the price too much. Need to have replacement of toilet,cistern and all piping. Existing bracket is a universal type and would need advice as to whether this would be suitable for new toilet. Toilet and fittings are built into a wooden tiled panel.

Remove existing bath, overhead shower handbasin,toilet and replace with new. Ceiling needs replastering and walls will need tiling. Also need a new tiled floor. Approx size of area is 2mtrs x 2 mtrs
My project was to install a brand new bathroom. My old bathroom was demolished and the project was started from scratch. I dealt mainly with Paul and also Adam.
