I have mixed feelings about Steve and Paul and the work they did to completely refit my bathroom. On the plus side, they were polite and cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day and ensured I had a working toilet etc. throughout the 2 week refit. Steve also picked up my tiles from the shop and arranged a £20 discount on the total cost.
The finished job is very good but it was not without its problems however. The fact that I was in work during the day when they were undertaking the bathroom refit didn't help as on day 3 I had a phone call to say the new bath was scratched and there was a problem with the new taps I had purchased; I decided to take half a day off work to see what the problem was while they were still there. Obviously it was my word against theirs and I had to accept they didn't do the damage - even though it wasn't there before hand.
There were also a few other niggles regarding tile spacing and the bath panel fixing and I felt the answers they provided were just patronising and rediculous. They did, however ,make the changes I requested on the bath panel, which had been tiled into the bath making it impossible to remove for future access.
I was also surprised to see the final bill was more than the original quotation despite the fact they didn't need to pull out all the walls and flooring, re- plaster board and re-plaster or lay a new floor as originally quoted. There were a number of items they had to purchase e.g pipes etc. but I still thought it would have been less considering the reduced amount of work required.
All in all they did a great job and I'm very pleased with the final result but to be honest I couldn't wait for it to be finished. They lost my trust early on and did nothing to rebuild it.
I suppose the true test is would I recommend them to my family and friends? The answer I'm afraid is No. Roy
Remove and dispose of existing bathroom suite and tiles, fit new suite, heated towel rail, laminated floor and tile walls.
Chris quoted on a Friday, and my bathroom was installed by midday the following Thursday. Given that the job involved stripping out the old suite and tiles, tiling throughout, all plumbing new flooring and installing an extractor fan, the speed was little short of amazing. The work was to an excellent standard, and the price very competitive. Chris and his colleagues are friendly and helpful, and he was able to make useful suggestions for enhancing the work and sourcing supplies. I'll certainly be using him again.Peter
Removal of shower cubilcle, wc, bidet, basin and tiles. Install new shower cubicle, shower, wc, vanity unit & basin and re-tile. Room is 114cms x 300cms. We haven't decided on any ceramics etc yet as we need advice about suitability. The lighting in the room needs to be replaced too. We are not looking for a 'spa experience' just a clean, functional room. Everything is staying in the same place except the shower which needs to change walls.
Chris and his team have done a great job refitting our ensuite. We've been impressed throughout the whole process, from quote to completion of the work, with how prompt and reliable Chris has been. He and his team worked cleanly and were very polite even when I added a few things to the original job! T
Supply and fit 10mm cable (approx 20 metres) 40 amp rated fuse for micro circuit board. Remove existing bath/disconecte existing electric 7.5kw shower, remove some tiles, chase brick wall to inlay new water supply pipework (existing pipes are surface mounted). Chase brick work to accomodate new Yet to be obtained) acrylic bath supported on battens, re-tile (tiles will be supplied) so that tiles come down to meet bath edges.
only had one person contact me in response to my original request - Mr David E John and was impressed with his overall approach. I did compare his quote with that of another plumber whom I contacted independently bot on balance, even though David's quote was a little higher, we went ahead and was pleased he and his partners work. The end result was most acceptable to us.

I need to have a Triton T200RE electric shower replaced with something more modern. I understand it may involve new mains power coming from our consumer unit downstairs as the current unit is very low powered so cable may not be up to spec.
