Lacked the necessary skills to install our Villeroy & Boch bathroom suite. We mutually agreed to withdraw from the contract and had to find another competent installer to finish the job. Make sure any quote you get includes everything you want doing. We had an all inclusive quotation but this installer decided to add another £400.00 to our final bill even though it was included in our original quotation! We disagreed on the final settlement and instead of mediation as he promised us he issued court proceedings against us. A year later we entered mediation and settled out of court. Unnecessary stress was put on us and himself! Just beware.

Quite small space, approx 10ft by 6ft, would like to move the toilet two feet to the side so it sits in the corner to free floor space. Wall mounted basin wanted, again to free floor space and create illusion of space. Downstairs cloakroom requires refit of toilet and basin and addition of heated towel rail. approx 5ft by 5ft. Tiling, lighting, flooring, plastering etc required for both rooms. ie a complete job! Old suites currently in place, prob 70's, although upstairs does have a power shower. We have a small bathroom that needs a new bathroom suite installed. Skills requirement: Bathroom installation, Plumbing, Tiling, Flooring (Poss) The Task: To remove existing bath, toilet and sink. To then install new bath, digital shower, screen, sink unit and a close coupled toilet. We will need to locate shower pump/digital control box to the loft area above bathroom (shower pump currently located next to water tank in airing cupboard & we will need to close off existing shower pump pipework which currently links to shower unit in bathroom). The digital shower will be serviced by a down pipe from the loft area. this will require additional pipework in the loft area to extend from the hot water tank. We have already acquired the bathroom suite and fittings. We will also need to bathroom floor replaced (currently carpet) with oak flooring. Tiles will be removed in the bathroom but new tiles will need to be replaced around the bath/shower area.

Updated : Updating bathrooms/cloakroom wil require removing existing WCs, washbasins, baths, shower and installing new. I have sourced ideas for new items. Plumbing is in place but, in addition to removal/addition of sanitaryware, I would like to remove water tank from loft and replace with a Megaflow on the ground floor (in the existing laundry or corner of the adjacent garage). Also, the two bathrooms will need removal of existing tiling and new tiles to be fitted;; I have the types of tiles in mind. Original : Have moved into new house.
