Budget I'm not sure

Job the loft space is already lived in but we require an en suite to built from scratch

Comment My job started on January 12 2009. Its now April 2009. My house is 'trashed' and the builder/fitter has disappeared. The job was:Bathroom refurb and new ensuite built. However this was changed and the plan was to build a new mezzanine floor in addition to the bathrooms. John was confident and keen to do the work even suggesting ideas and saying he would be able to do all of the work himself. All started off well. John is very plausible. He has worked 6 full weeks out of 4 months. He has taken money to buy goods we have not received. He got an architect on board but did not pay him which left us with building regulation problems. He has not been contactable since 20 March. We are now investigating another builder to complete the work at a further cost of £8000 (£23000 has already been paid- Our very big mistake). Some of this is to put poor workmanship right and buy materials still required. Julia

Comment Mike is reliable and efficient, fair price and value for money. I am happy to call Mike again. He said a time and turned up punctually, completed the quote via email. Then he returned to do the job and completed within the stated time. There was some difficulty with the shower enclosure and he returned at a convenient time to fix it, which is quite unheard of, so you can call this tradesperson very reliable Neal
