"The whole job was something of a disaster from start to finish. I say 'finish', but that's possibly not the right word to use considering he never completed the job. After numerous delays, and every excuse under the sun, over 3 months elapsed between the day he started what he originally envisaged as a 6 day bathroom installation, and the day he posted my keys back through the letterbox. By that time he'd at least managed to provide, outwardly, everything that was originally outlined in the job. Unfortunately a leak, which I had flagged up multiple times, was simply hidden away behind a *sealed* bath panel, the heating element was not fixed as per original request, and the pump (which he'd originally denied would be necessary) was wired into the immersion heater, thereby making the whole process of ablution a laborious faff. Needless to say, further attempts to contact him have been futile, and another plumber will have to be engaged to make good the mess he's left behind. When reading Tom's earlier comment I felt as though I was reading about my own experiences. If only that comment had gone up a couple of months earlier then I wouldn't have gone anywhere near this tradesman. Hopefully others can learn from our experiences."
