Reviews of Bricklayers in Chester, Cheshire

Boughton, CH3

Under £250
Have had a few bits of brick fall off the roof which seem to have come loose from our chimney stack. Need someone to have a look and see if any repair work is needed.
Came next day to quote for work then morning after to do the work. Work done seems neat. Excellent friendly service would recommend.

Updated : The urgent part is the render about 12 inches long which is cracked and letting water into porch. Original : new render needed above porch and round base of house
Darren arrived when he said to give me an estimate. Whilst replacing the render as requested, noted that an overflow pipe was split and leaking and purchased and fitted a new pipe to sort out what had caused the problem.

I need a section of cladding (apprpx size of a standard house door) knocking out and bricking back up leaving room for a 600 x 600mm window. The bricks are to come from a section of wall which requires taking down and the bricks reclaiming so they match the house. See pictures below.
Reliable and did a good job. Will use again.

I'm not sure
areas to lowerv level of back of terraced house plus some small areas at first floor level, will need ladder. remedial work also to two brick garden walls.
I would not use this firm for re-pointing. Old crumbling mortar was not removed and the mix used was mostly sand, crumbled when you ran finger along it. I Had to watch over them (missing time from work) to redo a poor job. Not a neat job! will be sorting out the mess myself.

stack has 3 pots. 1 is leaning at sharp angle. recent storm resulted in mortar falling off onto roof below. loose mortar and cracks in brickwork are visible.
Kelvin was excellent throughout this job - quick, itemised, reasonable quote. Good communication at all stages. Came when he said he would. Did the job efficiently. Came back afterwards (when the weather had improved) to clear up. Just great!

We are currently in the process of buying a house in Saltney. The property survey has highlighted that the front garden wall is in need of repair. We have been advised to get someone to look at the wall and provide a quote for the work. The wall is brick and no more than 5m long, 50cm high and only 1 brick deep.

Garden wall is leaning so needs straightening up. It's a 1 skin wall approx. 5.5m in length and 1.9m in height. May also need a new lentil above garden wall gate. Ideally would like to re-use the bricks. I can email photos to give you a better idea of the job.
