In process of replacing garden gate. Wall either side of gate needs repairing or replacing (whichever seems more appropriate). Wall is about 6ft in height.
Hello, Anthony and Chey (Farrell builders) pointed an outside wall, made a wooden gate and then fitted it after removing the old gate. They did a splendid job, I am really pleased with their work. They worked so hard without stopping for lunch even. They were polite, friendly, reliable and all work was completed to a high standard. Afterwards they even took away all the rubbish & cleaned up! I will definitely use them again. Thanks Chey & Anthony! Bye Fiona

1930s 3 bed, bow-windowed semi detached requires complete repointing (1/3 rendered at front elevation). Scaffold already in place.
Shaun Purdie did a quality job of repointing our house, which had stood empty for 30 years, and was in dire need of attention. Shaun provided a competitive quote, worked solidly until the job was done, and did not cut any corners. He ground out the original mortar to a good inch, and power washed everything both before and after repointing to ensure the best possible finish. He maintained great communication throughout the job, and was extremely reliable. I would definitely recommend Purdie to anyone considering repointing. All of the other tradesmen on the job have commented the top quality of Purdie Builder's work.

Replace bricks/repoint area around first floor bedroom window of Edwardian Terrace. Rainfall penetrates the wall and is coming through into the bedroom. I suspected at first that it may be the roof, but a roofer has looked and there are no problems there. I painted the brickwork with a seal and that worked temporarily and now the damp is back - I think some of the bricks have perished and may need replacing.

Durring the colder months I have water forming on the wall underneath my bay Window. Having looked at the front of the house it appears the pointing is in need of repair in some places there is on mortar at all. I have a similar issue upstairs so there could be need for the whole front of the house to be repointed.

My garden wall needs re-building. i'm happy for some of the old bricks being used to rebuild it but if any new bricks are required i want them to look 'old' so that they match. The little 'stacks' where the gate are need coping stones on top too. THEN i can finally get a gate fitted. So... if you can fix gates and can do this too then great! I am a student and so am pretty skint but am desperate for a gate to keep my daughter from running off. Sharon
