"It took over 6 weeks to complete a 2 day job. The pointing was a mess and crumbled to the touch and it was different colours. The mess left wasn't cleaned up and most of the brickwork was smeared with mortar. He didn't take anything off the walls to do behind them ( pipes, plaques, wires etc )and he didn't do the arches over the windows claiming they would fall down. I got another builder to assess the work and he said that the mix that had been used was wrong and it probably wouldn't last 12 months, there were lots of small gaps and holes in the mortar and some of the original mortar hadn't been raked out properly. He advised me to have the lot raked out and re-done. When i confronted the tradesman with this assessment he became abusive and threatening. I am now going to have to pay to get it done properly and i am GBP340 out of pocket."
