Ceiling in the second bedroon is falling down, large area bowing, has signs of water damage.
I'm very pleased with the service I was provided, it started out being a one day job but then discovered (whole ceiling falling down instead of corner) it needed 3 days. Carl ensured that the job was done as quickly as possible (a childs bedroom). Always turned up on time, polite & tidy. Would definitely use again & recommend.
Repair to leaking roof. Rain coming through bedroom ceiling into bedroom. General overhaul of tiling on roof to stop future leaks. Repair to bedroom ceiling, repair to passageway ceiling where previous leaks have occured. May need major renovation.
Did a very good job, no problems experienced since job completed. Would definately use again.Keith
Our garden wall has a wooden gated entrance and the lintel above this entrance has rusted badly and the weight of the masonry above is causing the lintel to bend. The lintel needs to be replaced. The wall forms part of a listed building in a conservation area so the stone work needs to be carefully dismantled and then re-used afterwards to rebuild the wall above the lintel.
An excellent job and a nice chap too.
Even fixed a leaky pipe as a freebie.Jonathan

J D Clark was very prompt in providing a quote and and was also very friendly, but due to my financial situation having deteriorated, I am unable to employ him.
I heartily recommend Mr. Clark and if my finances improve I will have no hesitation in employing him.Richard
move soil pipe and inspection chamber in order to convert upstairs bedroom to bathroom. Knock through downstairs bathroom into kitchen put up steels to support upstairs and incorporate conservatory in to one large kitchen with utility and seperate cloakroom. Planning, building regs and structural calculations all done and agreed.
Home Solutions was a very competitive and realistic quote. A very efficient and reliable business who were present every day of the project. Martin Donovan the company owner was not only an excellent project manager but also a fantastic tradesman. His knowledge and guidance on the project was invaluable even with the building inspector moving the goal posts sometimes and his team proved invaluable with advice and there skill. His group of sub-contractors were also of a high caliber which was only to be expected. The project was completed well within the allocated time frame and to a very high specification. I would highly recommend Home Solutions to anyone considering any building work no matter how large or small. A fantastic business with a fantastic team.Mick
We live in a mid terrace victorian house. The two timber lintels over our back door in the kitchen on the exterior wall have rotted and need replacing with concrete lintels. The door is 800mm so I am hoping the lintels can be replaced and packed with the minimum of fuss.
We would ideally like to replace the door frame as well (door is ok).
What a find! Henleaze Building Company were simply first class. Although a relatively small job, Mark and his team gave it their full professional attention ensuring a finish to a very high standard which was reflected in the impressive attention to detail.
They turned up to work on time every day, were clean and courteous at all times and happily accommodated any request. The quality of their work combined with their very competitive quote meant I quickly increased their scope.
It was surprising to have someone of Marks competence planning, overseeing and advising on the work. 5 star ratings seem to be given quite freely on this website but Henleaze Building Company are more than worthy. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Existing garage and joined outbuilding needs demolishing and the whole thing needs rebuilding into one proper garage with storage. Construction will need to be in stone, in keeping with the main house which is 200 years old. Garage has power and light and this needs to be kept. Would appreciate input as to how to make the most of this space and maximise dry storage space.
Able to respond it quick time at a competitive price.
Standard of previous work looks to be good and Ben's previous customers gave good references about the work done.Steve
Remove 2 rotten steel support poles (similar to scaffold poles, 6 feet tall)and attached wooden panels from side of car port. Replace with 2 new supports
(scaffold poling with top and bottom flange will do). The car port is attached either end to the garage and the house, with the poles providing centre support. The attached wood panels do not need replacing.
The job was done both promptly and tidily, with the total cost coming in at less than the initial estimated cost. I would recommend Kiernan for similar work.Keith
Looking for quotes to install floor joists in loft and create new loft hatch, preferably from inside loft to go alongside existing ceiling joists.
We live in southville, bristol and have just bought a house.
The current staircase splits the living room and dinner/kitchen. We would like the stairs direction reversed and a landing put in in the upstairs to create a proper comunal bathroom as the current one is basically an on-suite. This has been done in other houses on the road so we have a good idea of how we would like it to look.
Also, if possible, we may have some additional work in terms of moving the kitchen into the current downstairs utiltiy bathroom space to create a larger dinning room/living space. There are also a coupl of other bits that we would like to look at but these are not as substantial.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Are ready to go as soon as you are...
Scope of work = medium Original : Not just an internal renovation, nothing else was close. We need to change an external door to a window and an external window to double doors in a basement kitchen. We also are looking at a wooden staircase and a reconfiguration of our entry hallway and a velux window. Reasonably significant works required and can move off site for short periods as needed.
Would like to commence works this Spring/early Summer. Ready to go. Just seeking a couple of quotes. Thanks
