Damp in small back bedroom under window and near top of old blocked off chimney to the right of the window - Possible gutter or drain pipe problem.
Initially I was given advice on a damp problem, later I requested that the repairs be carried out. A price was and an appointment was given. The work was carried out professionally and reliably. I am very pleased with the work now completed.Martin
We would like at least a 1 storey, possibly 2 depending on the cost, extension. We need a bathroom refurb. Internal walls knocking down and an internal refurb i.e making good after the wall removal, painting, carpet removal etc. There is a project manager who will be running the show.
Darren and chris are extremely hard working, prepared to go above and beyond with a project.Christina
I have a large built-in cupboard space (brick built, about 1m square, floor to ceiling) which takes up a good chunk of a downstairs room, which I would like to have removed.
I've made a tentative start and removed a few bricks at the top to investigate what's above it as it was not clear if it was load-bearing, but it does look as though the beams above are resting on the cupboard walls, so I don't want to go any further without advice.
I would like someone to tell me whether the cupboard is safely removeable, and to quote for the job (dismantle wall, make good and remove waste). I already have a quote for plastering the room and repairing the ceiling, so I would not need that done as part of this job.
Would thoroughly recommend John. He was helpful, reliable and the job was done quickly and professionally. He was also happy to offer advice on other work I was planning, and fully explained what he was doing and how I could continue after he'd finished.Paul
I need one small bedroom ceiling (approx 2x2.5m) clearing of old plaster and re-plastering. The landing ceiling needs a small piece of plaster repairing and maybe a skim to level it off. Thanks Ben thomson 41 horley rd, st werburghs, bristol, bs2 9tl.
I would highly recommend adapt-a-space.
Henry did a great job and was courteous and professional throughout.
Very competitive rates also.

I live in a typical terraced house in Bishospston/Horfield and the small wall outside the front of the house and one to the front door is collapsing. It is a small job as I will knock the wall down and recover any bricks I can, but would like a professional to rebuild the wall itself.
Great job, no charges above initial quote and job finished quickly. Would highly recommend.richard
Modifications to grounf floor flat in a converted victorian semi, as below:
1. Knock through doorway (brick/structural wall) and make good
2. Also, open up existing doorway to create open plan area:
- create opening of approx 2m wide in brick/structural wall
- install RSJ
- make good
Should hopefully be a fairly quick/simple job to fit in before xmas or between xmas and new year.
Excellent. Did the job quickly, on time, with minimal mess and exactly how I wanted it. Would be happy to recommend.Sandy
Remove a built in wardrobe with mirror doors and make good the ceiling, walls and skirting borad. Remove a toilet roll holder which looks like its been glued to wall and loads of little jobs like putting up shelves, hanging an outside clock up
Really pleased with the work carried out, Martin was reliable and very helpful. I had a list of jobs which needed doing for ages but was sceptical about picking a tradesman out from the phone book. Glad I found this website and company will definitely be using them again Louise
improved support for removed chimney.
skim 1 room - no decorating.
fix some cracks which are causing damp.
Investigate cause of damp in one room.
Possible removal of one additional chimney cost dependant.
Best Builders I have ever used. Despite the job getting more complicated that originally intended they met the challenge head on and got everything done as quickly as possible. Felicity
1. Convert existing 1st floor bedroom into a bathroom including all drainage below and above ground. Fitting of a new bathroom suite will be needed as well as tiling. There is currently no soil pipe for waste so one will have to be fitted.
Dimensions of existing bedroom are 7"9 x 8"4
2. Convert existing ground floor bathroom to form a new WC room. Fitting of new handbasin required. Existing bathroom is located next to the kitchen and will become an extension of the kitchen. Removal of existing bathroom suite.

I have had a gas fire and back boiler removed from a chimney. I now require two quotes for you to either
- brick up the hole, and make good (plaster it).
- or create a box shaped hole in the chimney, and make good (plaster it).
I am at home all day on the 14th Feb if you would like to view the hole, otherwise, it will have to be after 6pm on weeknights.
Thanks, Sam.

Our house is a typical victorian terrace that has had the kitchen extended knocking through the old external wall into the outhouse. We want to install a new kitchen but need the sloping roof raised and a new window put in and the old external wall partially removed. We are looking for quotes and would like the work to start around end of Sept if possible.

I have a single story breakfast room extension onto the back of my kitchen. The back wall of the house was taken out and a steel put in. For some reason they left 2ft of the original back wall which I now want taking out and a longer steel putting in.
