Taking down an internal wall and rebuilding another one. Blocking off a door and reopening a filled in one
Timing: Within 2 months.
Gary has been amazing. He has a lot of knowledge and expertise, he has listened to our ideas and given us some valued advice. All the work he has done in our house has been to the highest standard. We will definitely be using him for other work needed around the house.
Kitchen extension to rear of property and installation of lavatory and sink in understair cupboard. Plans already drawn up and building regs approved. Would like to start work in the next month or two.
Thanks to Mark and his team we now have a beautiful kitchen extension and loft conversion. From the initial visit to the snags list at the end, Mark provided an efficient and professional service. Nothing was ever too much trouble, he even helped us through the joy of our Wessex Water application. We were always aware of what the plan was for the week and the guys regularly went beyond the expected to ensure we could still comfortably enjoy our home during the work. I would highly recommend HBC!
the guttering, including facia and downpipe need replacing. i also need the flashing at the back of the house checked. this work is preliminary work, i will also be looking to do some damproofing at the back of the house and a small extension at some point so would prefer someone who will be able to do everything eventually
the 1st fascia Home Improvement lads were really nice. They provided a clear, and incredibly competitive quote. They were happy to do the fascias and guttering on a weekend and at very short notice, and they did a really good job. They even managed not to squash my hedge with their scaffolding. All in all a really good experience.
Repoint the chimney stack on 1930s semi. Retile steps to porch 4 steps up and the porch itself
Despite getting off to a wet start they worked through and finished the job the following week. I also had the house painted and fence put up which they fitted in and used a carpenter and painter to work on the jobs so very high quality work.
Internal wall between hall and dining room to be removed
New kitchen to be fitted
All rooms in good repair
Rubble / kitchen units will require removal
Mark and the team from Henleaze Building Company provided us with an excellent service. The job - an extension, new kitchen and new downstairs WC - was completed on time, due to Mark's attention to detail and project management skills. The team tidied as they went which minimised the impact to us, particularly during the initial stages. Mark made some useful suggestions which improved the finished job. In addition to this Mark and his team came up with some very creative and practical ideas before the job started, this is clearly down to the experience that they have. I was extremely impressed with the standard of workmanship provided by all the members of the team who worked on our job (electrician, plumber, plasterer, carpenter, general labourers, kitchen fitter etc etc.). The finished product is amazing and has made a real difference to our family life. I would recommend Henleaze Building Company Ltd to anyone due to their professionalism, reliability, honesty and the quality of the completed work.
Existing cracked lintel, approximately 1.65 meter span. Lintel is 210mm x 220mm.
Wall was external but now is part of an old extension. Lintel appears to be original cast in situ.
Lintel needs replacing but no need to make good after as room is being renovated,.
Very quick response to initial enquiry. Competitive price, good tidy job finished on time.
Also very friendly, happily recommend to others.
Large bathroom window to be removed and part of wall bricked and plastered and smaller window put in place.
2.5 metre x2.5 meter wall between two rooms to be moved by approx 40 cm to increase size of smaller room. these rooms are under a loft conversion. Not sure if wall is load bearing.
The work was carried out in the arranged time frame to a good standard. Everything was done as we had previously discussed. It was done whilst we were away and we came back to a tidy and clean house. The team kept us updated on the progress of the work. They were reliable and trustworthy and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again
Crack in masonry where two reception rooms have been knocked together. This needs investigating to see if there is enough support from existing rsj and if the wall has been supported properly from the foundations. Insurance company surveyor confirmed it's not subsidence. I also want the wall taken back further to make the opening wider and more even.
We have a property which needs some renovation due neglect. some rooms need re plastering. we would like some advice on creating an opening in an internal wall to create open plan kitchen dinning room. New bathroom and kitchen etc

They have done a first class job for us, the kitchen and bathroom are better than we could have ever hoped. Thanks again guys and look forward to working with you again soon.

Size of extension: 2 rooms
Height of extension: 1 floor
Room(s) to be in the extension: lounge/living room, utility room
This is for a sigle story extension on across the entire rear of the property (5m) and a length of 3m internally from the lower back wall of the house. The ground floor extends 2 ft from the 1st floor.
the extention is to be made of brick and have a pitched tiled roof. The requirement for 2 rooms has been stated however this can be acheived by stud walling, one side will be used as a utility room the other as a dining/living room, each is to be provisioned with adequate services, plug sockets, water and drainage.
There is currently a lean-to attached to the back of the house that will need removing, it is made from single brick with a wooden frame to a pitched roof and has electrical supply.
The house is the first of 4 on the main drain which I am told runs around the back of the house and will require securing.re-routing.
The extention will require the central heating to be extended/ modified to the new rooms, the current system is a back boiler of some twenty years of age and now may be the time to replace it.
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us
