We have a porch to the front of our property which is a fully enclosed brick built surround with a lead flat roof. The roof has a leak, which is particularly bad to one side where water runs away and seems to settle on top of the lead roof. The roof has been looked at before, but does not ever get fully rectified, we have been told the lead is a bit low and cement has been laid over the lip of the lead on the side that the water sits. We have also had brick work across the front of the porch above the front door removed and the damp proof course fully removed and replaced, as well as some tiles that sit on top of the brickwork around the lead roof replaced. However we still have the problem. Ideally we do not think repairs will sort the problem. We think the answer it to have a pitched roof put on of some description built on top of the porch, to ensure it is fully weather proofed. Dimension of roof , the roof is approx 1.7 m wide as you look at if from the front, by 1.15 m depth. The height of the porch is 2.8 m approximately.
