"Job started off well with the installation of drainage for the trampoline pit, however no trap was fitted in the drainage resulting in all debris been deposited in the pipe work leading to potential future blockage As the work progressed the steps leading up from the patio area to the garden area were constructed, I noticed (as did my wife) that the mortar match was poor, when questioned over this Chris "was not happy" and reluctantly knocked them down and rebuilt charging me £250. Moving onto the patio the slabs were laid on a "clean canvas" so I was disappointed to find that they was insufficient fall for the water to drain off effectively into the drainage channel they installed. There is also a low point in the centre of the patio that collects a significant volume of water when raining. A second low point in the patio results in a similar issue collecting water resulting in a large puddle when raining. The more significant issue with the patio is the volume of cement on the topside of the slabs (I took pictures of these), loose slabs that required re-bedding (some by them and others by myself) and the material place in the joints between the slabs. I had to remove all material between slabs as it had no/little cement (so it never hardened) and replace it all with pavefix. I also spent a number of days cleaning the cement off the topside of the slabs that was spashed when laying the slabs on the cement base. General housekeeping - Did not clean up at the end of the day and when they eventually left site my block paved drive where they had been mixing cement was covered in cement, as were the bushes over my fence where I assume t he waste was discarded. The job was originally due to take three weeks, they spent two full weeks and part of a week onsite, they then had to go off to do another job (which I agreed was ok). The plan was for them to come back in early April to finish off and presumably correct all the snags, I never saw them again. Having exchanged a few emails with Chris I received no further correspondence, I left voicemails with no response. I finished the garden off myself with a colleague from work over a number of weekends. The patio I treated with chemicals to remove the cement, this took several attempts as the level of contamination was so severe. All the material in-between the slabs I removed by hand (was easy as it was mostly sand) and replaced with pavefix The block paving I had professionally cleaned as it was left in such a filthy state.with both cement and soil.
