Budget Under £500

Job We promptly require a removal of part of an internal (non-weight bearing) wall to join our kitchen with a dining room. We would also require an electrician and a gas specialist as we would need to move one socket and one light switch, as well as remove a radiator.

Comment The mostly negative feedback is given due to the fitter James promising to us that he will come back to finish the job, but despite numerous attempts to speak with him, we never heard back from him. We have tried mobile phone calls, texts and email via Rated People, but had no reply. We relied on him as this was a work needed before the new kitchen installation. We then had to frantically search for somebody else and it cost us much more because it wasn't "a part of the bigger job". Not happy, I am afraid. Gabriela

Job Updated : Existing dormer requires refurbishment. New flat roof, replace UPVC cladding and replace 2 existing windows. No planning required, dates for work flexible. Original : Existing dormer needs re-furbishing. Roof needs replacing

Comment Its hard to get enthusiastic about a new roof. However, Benchmark do an excellent job. They use good quality materials and the quality and finish of the work is very good. The prices they charge are at market rates. All in all a good company that you can trust. glen

Job I need an outside door bricking up and an internal door bricking up.

Comment It is our opinion that Cliffe hard landscapes and brickworks is an extremely inexperienced company with a propensity to misqoute, re-quote and not deliver on original agreements. Poor planning and execution of a simple job that was to errect an internal and external wall, resulting in a gaping hole in the side of our home £500 out of pocket and a need to take down all external work and begin again with another tradesman. Cosmetically hideous. Perhaps he is better suited to landscaping.Very poor experience. Francine
