I need gallow brackets and steel plate fixing. This is to hold chimney in loft. Chimney breast is still in living room but has been removed from back bedroom over 30 yrs ago. The chimney stack in the loft is currently held by a wooden joist which has been there for 30 yrs. I have done the homework and need these gallow brackets and steel plate fixed unless after all these years it's classed as safe.
A prompt quote was received for the work that was required. It was a competetive quote therefore we followed up on it. Work was carried out in professional manner, they ensured there was no mess and made sure everywhere was clean before they left. Hopefully they will be back in a few weeks to carry out more work in our home, would recommend to anyone.

We are currently renovating a house, built in the late 60s and have discovered a concrete floor with severe cracks, which has also lifted in one place. The floor is in what was once the garage and is now a small room with en suite toilet and shower. We're guessing that the conversion was made sometime in the 80s and it was not carried out very well. According to a recent survey, the floor now needs to be dug up and replaced with proper foundations and a damp-proof membrane.
The quotation was fair and competitive and the job was handled efficiently and on time. And, although some of the self-levelling compound didn't take for some reason, the problem was sorted out promptly.
