Reviews of Builders in Cumbria

Moorhouse, CA5

Under £15,000
partial conversion of freestanding garage to music studio. Garage is 26 feet x 12, studio to be 16 x 12. Erection of dividing wall, and patio doors at one end of music studio. Existing side door to be blocked up. Possible sound insulation. There is power in the garage but lighting and heating would need to be installed
Adam and Dennis did an excellent job converting part of our garage to a music studio and laying 2 patios. The garage conversion included plastering, laying laminate flooring and fitting new doors and windows. All was finished to a high standard. Adam and Dennis take a pride in their work and we were pleased to find that, although work in addition to the original quote was carried out the final bill was only slightly higher. Would definitely recommend.

Removing chimney pots and capping chimney stack x 2
On initial contact the telephone manner led me to believe Crest were unenthusiastic but this proved to be miss leading. To confirm final details Crest phoned the day before the job was due to be completed. The following day Crest arrived on time to complete the work. The work was completed efficiently with confidence, no fuss and very little chat. On completion of the task Crest was happy to check other aspects of the roof were sound, providing what I believe to be good trust worthy advice. A good contractor.

I'm not sure
Leylandii tree roots are lifting concrete path which needs breaking up, and the roots cutting back. Also wonder if roots are affecting drains on that side of the house.
Steven considered all aspects of the job before quoting, and made it clear what he intended to do/might have to do. He turned up when he said he would or, if he couldn't, he let me know. I am very pleased with the quality of the work and would thoroughly recommend him.

Updated : The home is a terraced property. The room in question is bare wall or plaster, totally un-decorated. Original : Opening up a doorway arch to a larger arch from dining room to kitchen, the wall is a supporting wall as it is to a kitchen extension. I am also putting in french doors on the back wall, there are currently two small windows there at the moment. It is all on the same wall.
