Venting a bathroom fan via loft and replacing existing fan. Also sorting out damp in both bedrooms caused due to the loftspace not being vented.
The job was done efficiently. I was kept informed all the way through the job as to the progress. I was even infromed that some work didn't need to be carried out and that I would have a reduction on the quote. I am very happy with the work and will be using them again in the future.Aneurin
Son needs help with completing the kitchen build, laying laminate flooring to open plan kitchen, living room, hanging new doors, refurbishing window frames and internal decorating. Probably needs to be completed within 3 weeks from start. Will also require complete new bathroom, but this will be on completion of the original work. If the original work in completed to a good standard and on time, then the tradesperson will be invited to refurbish completely the bathroom.
Ryan did a great job, to time, cost and quality - all 3 things that are important when doing home refurbishment. Ryan also provided tips and advice on how to do things slightly different than planned, but providing a better result. Ryan will be returning soon to complete the bathroom and hall work - what better recommendation can I give than that of more work.... Many thanks RyanHugh
water is entering a cellar situated below a timber franed extension, possibly between the membrane covering the timber and the Newtonite covering the solid cellar walls.
[COMPANY_NAME] came each time as arranged and approached the problem in a sensible and logical way. After some investigation it became apparent that the water ingress was via the wall of a neighbourâ??s outhouse that is attached to our property and he suggested and carried out the agreed remedy.
In a separate problem and as he is primarily a carpenter, we asked him to correct floorboards that have become depressed below the level of others. He did both jobs working quickly and, so far as we can tell, efficiently and cleaned up afterwards.
It was not possible to calculate in advance the work level of either job and so get a quotation, because both evolved as investigation proceeded. On completion, we were presented with a separate account for each job and a little surprised at a £20 per hour labour charge that seemed excessive. That said, another workman could have worked more slowly at a lower hourly rate and still cost as much.
We have now asked him for a quotation for another job.Ray
