"Chris undertook the overhaul of the roof on our listed property. This involved removal of existing roof slates battens and felt, re-felting and battening, re-using the slates that could be re-used and sourcing matching slates to replace those that could not be re-used. Leadwork around chimneys and dormer window was replaced, a new Velux conservation rooflight fitted, replacement cast-iron guttering sourced and fitted, and chimney stacks re-rendered. Chris was extremely thorough and proficient in carrying out the work to a very high standard and worked over weekends and a bank holiday to get the job done during a spell of dry weather, ensuring it was completed even when an extremely wet day occured to ensure the house was watertight. We found Chris extremely helpful and polite and he was polite to our neighbours in a close knit community, as a result undertaking some work for them too. Overall we were very satisfied. Chris may not be the cheapest but he does the work for a reasonable price to a very high standard. we are discussing the next job, a rear extension with Chris now and he has been very helpful in discussing this with us to ensure we can carry out the work to a fixed budget."
