I'm not sure
Hi,
I wonder if you could help us, please?
We have just purchased a four bedroom detatched property on which we have had a survey completed and some recommendations for work to be carried out.
The property, according to the report, is build of 11" cavity brickwork , the main accommodation having a hipped roof with an outer fabric of concrete tile.
The roof comprises of common rafters with common joists in association with perlins and struts where there is evidence of current attack by the Common Furniture Beetle (Anobium Punctatum). Please could you quote us a price for treatment for this?
Also, the cavities require clearing and under-floor ventilation requires improvement, namely:
1. Remove any existing air bricks externally to the base of the walls.
2. Create further openings where necessary.
3. Remove any debris that may be presents bridging the damp proof course.
4. Supply and fit new terracotta airbricks insitu.
5. Remove all debris from site
Please could you provide a quote for this piece of work?
Finally, there was evidence of red rust on the wall ties, some with advanced stages of corrosion in the front and left hand elevations requiring:
1. Mark out a pattern for the wall ties to be installed.
2. Drill a 5.5mm pilot hole through the brickwork.
3. Hammer fix the helifix wall ties using an adapter for the drill.
4. Make good holes to match as close as possible to original colour using cement and colouriser
5. Remove or isolate existing wall ties where deemed to be necessary and make good any disturbed pointing.
Please could you provide a quote for this work too?
Also, please could you provide and trade organisations and affiliations to which you belong, the guarantees for the work and any references that you have?
Many thanks,
