I am putting a side extension on my house and would like a quote to put in the footings. The size is approx 8 M x 4.5 M. Its a single story extension. A drain may need o be moved or removed.
Complete refurbishment of the downstairs of a terraced house in Brentwood, Essex (close to station). Comprising lounge, small kitchen and small bathroom. Rooms to be refurbished to a modern design, but based on the existing plan (no need for new plans - this is renovation rather than reconfiguration). Existing bathroom and kitchen fittings would need to be removed, including an old cast-iron bath, and new fittings installed, including a new small kitchen and bathroom suite. The house has already been damp-proofed so that is not required, but lounge floorboards may need to be checked. I would be interested in a quote for refurbishment of the whole house (2 bedroom approx 1900-brick built terrace), but it is likely that only the downstairs work will be required as the bedrooms require only painting and decorating. A new central heating boiler and plumbing work will also be required (although this may be a separate job).
Timing: I am flexible on start date
new 2 storey extension and loft conversion. major internal works new boiler relocate bathroom, relocate stairs internal changes replace wooden floor with concrete.
This is the summary contained within our Structural Survey Report.
Please could you give a quote and a date so that this can be done as soon as possible.
The damage has not occurred as a result of recent or progressive subsidence or equally the operation of an alternative insured event.
Given the localised nature of the damage, there is no need to rebuild the section of the chimney stack. Generally, we would recommend the raking out and re-pointing of the section of the chimney stacks and branches within the roof space using a soft sand and cement mortar along with carefully taking out and resetting the dislodged bricks to the right hand branch. As a precautionary measure, it would also be beneficial to incorporate reinforcement by way of helibars or similar within the joints of the corbelled branches at approximately every fourth course.
In view that the damage has not occurred as a result of an insured event, regrettably insurers can not be of any financial assistance towards the cost of repairs on this occasion.
Damage not related to the claim:
Historic minor vertical cracking beneath the front first floor bedroom window, consistent with historic thermal movement. The crack should be raked out, cleaned down and re-pointed using a soft sand and cement mortar during routine maintenance.
NOTE: Structural Survey Engineer stated in his opinion This should not exceed the excess of the policy (£1050) as it is 1-1.5 days work, and not much in terms of materials (Helibars, pointing material and a few new bricks).

I would like an internal wall removed between two rooms. The wall has already been partially removed but I would like it to be removed more fully. I also have a brick fire place which I would like to be removed.

I would like a brick porch with window and wooden door built over my exisIting front door. My property is an end-of-terrace brick built house and there are two other porches of a similar nature in my terrace.
