Bathroom renovation in tenement flat - currently has tiles over original wood panels surrounding bath and shower, and appears that wood has absorbed moisture from shower. Job would involve talking off current tiles (and wood paneling underneath), potentially re-plastering, then re-tiling. In addition, new flooring, toilet, lighting, extractor fan and heated towel rail installation.

I require some reconfiguration work done in my basement flat. I have had a structural engineer round to assess the walls that need removing - two inbuilt cupboards and a dividing wall and he assures me they are non-structural. I also have floor plans drawn up by an architect indicating the work to be done. I would like my bathroom to be divided to provide an en-suite and bathroom, which means a doorway being made from a bedroom and a partition wall built. With the cupboards being removed to provide more space in the bathroom (and kitchen) the other wall to be removed is currently half dividing the kitchen and the dining room. There are also two doorways to be made into a cupboard and sitting room which the structural engineer suggest would need a building warrant as the walls continue up through the tenement, this he is sorting. The bathroom and en-suite will also need to be fitted once the building work is completed
