I have bought the flat upstairs from where I live and am in the process of doing it up. It needs a new kitchen and I would like to knock a wall down (which currently houses a walk-in cupboard) to improve the space. The previous owner also installed two showers (one in a bedroom cupboard and one in the hallway cupboard) which I would like to gut so that the storage space they previously provided can be reinstated.
Timing: ASAP
I have no hesitation in recommending Kwik Construction. Radek contacted me very quickly and arrived punctually the next day to quote for the work. He evaluated what had to be done, taking photos of the areas where work was needed. His quote came back much more quickly than the others...and was by far the most competitive. The work was completed to a high standard and I am now in the process of discussing a new kitchen with Kamila. Trustworthy, hardworking and courteous - Kwik Construction is a great team!Tamara
Converting a cupboard into a room. A window also needs to be installed
Would highly recommend Gallagher builders. The standard of work was of an exceptional quality and finish. I was kept up to speed with everything that was happening. Would recommend and use again for future projects.Amy
I'm very pleased with the job done by n.B.C. Andrew arrived when he said he would, surveyed the job, obtained the materials and returned to do the work.
The job was completed without fuss, and within a very reasonable timeframe. Andrew was very pleasant throughout.
I would unhesitatingly recommend n.B.C. and I will certainly use them again for future work.Karel
I'm getting new Ikea kitchen units fitted soon but need the following works completed beforehand: remove trunking (floor to ceiling approx 250mm wide and 20mm deep) and boxing (approx 900mm wide, 100mm deep and 1200mm from ceiling downwards -not sure what's behind, so a bit of an investigative job there!) then make good the wall so its a smooth line for the units to be installed against, box in a curve in the wall to allow a wall and base unit to be attached (the dimensions are 390mm x 380mm x 3520mm high), plasterboard/render unfinished wall to worktop height (where existing worktops are being removed and not replaced). Time frame - Ikea installation due to commence in approx 3 weeks time, so before then.
Everyone wants a tradesman who is totally reliable, efficient, a real grafter, gives good, sound advice and is good value for money - well that's what you get with PTP Solutions. Danny is a font of knowledge and won't do anything without making sure you know what's involved, how long it will take and how much it will cost. If you want the best then you don't need to look anywhere else. Thanks Danny!Dee
second floor tenament one bedroom flat with dated fitting needs updating in kitchen and bahroom . Electrics need asssesing redecorating throughout Possible conversion to 2 bedrooms
JK Carpenters have been brilliant. I live in London and had to let them get on with the job without being around. I found the service trustworthy and honest, getting the job done with minimal fuss. On the snaggs at the end everything has been picked up and completed and always a friendly response to queries. I would recommend their services to anyone needing a a flat refurbished.Jane
take down internal wall - steel support - constuct new wall with suspended ceiling and refit kitchen. Units and work surface to be decided.
The job proved bigger and a bit more involved than originally thought. Bobby was brilliant. He sourced the other trades needed and an architect and the job was done on time and at the price quoted. I will certaianly use him again.Juliet
Basement flat - entry from lane to rear: remove and replace pine floor in bedroom (+ new DPM); reconfigure 2 cupboards - new entry from hall, block entry from living room; repair cornicing; electric work in this area; move radiator.
Unfortunately we are unable to provide a recommendation as the tradesperson failed to submit a quotation for the work.Jaki

Updated : Would like a tradesman to start work on this job as soon as possible Original : Builder required to remove existing 1970s fire surrounds in Victorian tenement flat and fit two reclaimed antique Victorian fireplaces which are going to be decorative only and NOT functioning fireplaces. The fireplaces to be fitted are -One is a combination cast iron fireplace and the other is a cast iron insert which has a timber surround. The job in question shouldn't take more than a day or two, the existing chimney openings/grates may need to be widened to fit the new fireplaces but it is otherwise a really straightforward job.
