Looking to have our single garage converted by christmas if possible!!!
Just had our garage converted by coxys light building services, and all I can say is these guys are not your average builders!!! From start to finish Jason and Darren were totally professional, courteous and most importantly on time!! They turned up on time every day to my sheer amazement, ( we all know the kind of reputation builders have!) and worked non stop throughout the day. Every aspect of the job was explained to me, and considering the work they were undertaking they managed to keep any mess to a minimum. I will recommend the guys to my family and friends, and will be using them for any other work we need doing in the future. Thanks so much guys for your handiwork, I shall miss you! If Carlsberg did builders.........

Bay windows on ground and first floors need replacing but blockwork may need renovation first. Window installer recommended check on structure first.
Very good, no nonsense communication. Excellent standard of work and attention to detail. Would definitely recommend.

I'm not sure
We need to knock down a (supporting) wall between kitchen and dining room, and also knock out a hole for french windows. Have surveyors plans, engineering calculations and building regs... just need builders!
I will be hiring L Churcher again in the future - the quality of the work was excellent, especially the plastering, which the electrician, the plumber, the tiler and everyone else who has seen it has praised highly. Top job

Hi, We are considering a loft conversion to our bungalow. There are already bedrooms upstairs although they are not to the best configuration. The existing dorma windows are very small and need to be extended the full length of an existing room. There is a huge amount of unconverted space that we would like to try and use which will need velux windows as this is to the front of the property. The existing staircase is also very narrow. We are looking for advice regarding how this can be altered. There are plans drawn up and available to aid the conversion although these were from a previous owner and the planned staircase is not suitable. An alternative suggestion is sought. At stage we are looking for quotes and guidance on how to proceed.

Built in 2006 I have a brick/block 'garden room' built with glass roof & arched windows & doors in PVCu but have a bad damp problem on internal plastered walls. Have had recommendations from 2 'damp' consultants but would welcome an opinion and resolution from a good builder.

I am hoping to knock through what I believe is a stud wall to make a kitchen diner, I need an external door removing and bricking up to be replaced with a window and possibly a kitchen fitted (although my husband may be able to do that element). Also later possibly a porch building at the front of the building.

1930s property. Original fireplace covered with timber frame and plasterboard. Hole has appeared in plasterboard in a rectangular shape similar to vent. Large draught coming through hole causing mould to surroundiong area. Another hole close by near skirting board needs repairs. Cause of hole to be investigated, repaired and room redecorated.
