Job #1: Replace 10-square-metre solid floor in living room (believed to be old screed or concrete - currently hidden by thermoplastic tiles). To incorporate polythene damp proof membrane, polystyrene foam insulation, concrete, and sand cement screed top surface. When floor is excavated, look at old brick walls surrounding it. If dampness is located, inject a new chemical damp proof course. Job #2: Lay floorboards over above floor, and replace 4 sq m of hardwood floorboards in hallway. Use floorboards removed from hall to replace chipboard sheets previously used to repair floor in dining room.
