We have what was probably an old outhouse which is currently used for storage and only accessed from the outside of the kitchen. We'd like to brick up the external door and convert it back into a downstairs toilet / utility room with access from the kitchen.
Initially positive views - Sebol turned up on the specified date and completed the job, (or so we thought), and thus we paid the agreed amount in cash, with Sebastian promising he would return a week later to fix some problems. We've never seen him again, and have since discovered other problems with the plumbing. The 'after sales' service had been appalling. We've phoned, texted and emailed and had no reply, thus unless there is an immediate response we'll be pursuing this via the relevant trade associations and via the small claims court if necessary. I hope this won't be necessary and that Sebastian returns to fix the problems as he promised he would.

Existing brick chimney on bungalow with clay tiled steeply pitched roof Eaves height approx 2.4 mtrs - chimney situated about half way up pitch. Chimney has a redundant tv aerial the fixings for which have caused some erosion of the brickwork. Job is to remove aerial, repair damage to bricks as necessary, and repair/renew pointing. Also examine and if required repair/renew flashing at roof interface.
Barry turned up to assess the job when he said he would, phoned in his very reasonable quote when he said he would, agreed an early start date then turned up on the appointed day and did what appears from ground level to be a good job. He did not attempt to stretch the job by finding other tasks that "ought to be done while I am here". My only niggle is that he promised to send me a receipted invoice (I paid in cash as soon as the work was done), but this has not as yet materialised.

Our boundary wall in the front of the house has collapsed. we are looking for a builder to repair it. It includes an iron fence between 3 posts. The Posts have collapsed and need to be repaired.
DMN Building provided excellent service, despite some difficult weather. They were punctual and timely on the repairs they did. They did everything they said they would when they they said. Communications were great by phone and email. We had been concerned that the new bricks would be difficult to match to the old bricks, but they nailed it. Our new wall looks better than the old! A great job and a firm that not only will I use again, but one that I highly recommend to others. They were top tier and no more expensive than any of our other quoters.

Updated : Extractor Installation required Original : I have a property currently let to a long term tenant. The kitchen is suffering with quite bad condensation. I would like to install an extractor fan which will either involve cutting in a window or more likely knocking through the brickwork. I am also considering installing a plumbed in dehumidifier if this doesnt work. The bathroom also has poor ventilation although it has an existing hole with a static grill vent. I would like to install and fit an electric extractor fan in place of the static vent. This will also involve providing an electric feed although the main fuse box is in the cupboard next door so this may not be too big a job.
