3 x 2.5 meter single storey extension of an exiting kitchen
Work to start ASAP, current contractor has issues on another site and cannot complete within required time. Price previously agreed at £8,480
Planning & Building control in place
I employed Fireplace & Stove for my kitchen extension. Not the biggest of builds, but still a highly serviced space that encompassed all the building services of a larger extension. I found Bob to be a decent and reliable guy.
Bob was the lead contractor and brought in specialists from his supply chain as required; this gave me more confidence in the quality of the work than with a general builder. In summary don't be perturbed the company name for this type of work, Bobs team did a great job.

need to have a section of internal, supporting wall knocked out to connect kitchen to lounge. Supporting bar to be placed above and plastered afterwards. Approx 2 metters accros. Whoever undertakes needs to arrange approval by the council's building regulators. Needs to be done a.s.a.p.
Henry & Mark were excellent! They completed the work on time and on budget, Henry is always available on the phone and I checked out previous jobs before using them. I would not hesitate to use them again and highly recomend them.John
We have a pantry (approx 4metres by 1.8m) that is currently just a shell with hanging old electrics, concrete floor and unplastered, uneven floors. We want to put in a new ceiling with halogen lighting, plaster the walls and if possible tile the floor (currently v. uneven) in order to be able to put in a worktop and shelving units.
As a separate job we have three large rooms that also need re-plastering (possibly just a skim over existing plasterwork).
Breifne managed to complete the job to a high quality within the expected time. They were polite and turned up when stated. Overall, a good job.RICHARD
There is damp, flaking plaster on the wall and ceiling of a first-floor bedroom. In the attic above, have noticed that the chimney is wet on the outside of the stack and is possibly the cause. Would like a quote for identifying the source of the leak/damp and to make good, as well as stripping back and replacing damaged plaster in the bedroom.

We have parted company with the original builder on our project. Yesterday we discovered that the structural work they did 9 months ago is not acceptable. A structural engineer has provided us with 2 possible solutions to fix this and we are seeking urgent help to manage this.

We are looking for a builder capable of removing a bearing wall and fit an rsj beam. The property is in St Albans city centre. The wall doesn't cover the full length of the room and therefore a support might be required to support the rsj beam on one side. We are also looking at having a toilet fitted under a staircase.
We are looking to have the work done in late June

We have a end of terrace Victorian cottage, 2 up, 2 down, with a two storey extension at the back (kitchen/bathroom) which is 2/3 width of house. We would like to extend this across the full width of the house to include a bigger kitchen. Quotes required for a one storey extension (to extend kitchen only) and also a quote for a double storey extension which would involve moving the bathroom to another room upstairs.
