Simon came on time, his price was very competitive, his standard of work is excellent and he basically did the entire job in one day. Plus, he is very friendly and polite! Property renovation in Shortlands
"This builder is what I would call an "old school" tradesman. He is evidently proud of his workmanship and is extremely courteous and friendly to deal with. He is a very big family man and always takes a personal interest in our family, so it is a real pleasure to have him in the house. He is always punctual and easily contactable on his mobile (he does not always have time to deal with email as quickly) and went beyond our expectations by doing some jobs for free and also working at weekends. He oversaw the entire renovation of our house to generally high standards and has also been keen to remedy the various problems that came up during and after his team's job. This builder produced a thorough quote detailing the elements of a big job. He made cost savings for us where possible, and always warned us in advance of additional costs and extra work that arose during the job. He was also good at identifying flaws in the house so that I could get them seen to more cheaply as part of the refurbishment. I did receive cheaper quotes, but am glad to have chosen this builder as he largely stuck to his quote, and to a tight timeframe. While this builder's own work is always done to a high standard (particularly carpentry, which he clearly loves) my one criticism would be that some of his sub-contractors do not have the same work ethic or high standards. The house was excessively messy during the work (while we were living here) and I have had to call back both his plumber and electrician for badly thought out and poor quality work on a number of occasions. This builder did not hesitate in arranging this, to his credit."

"This builder has done a fantastic job with my kitchen renovations. He is professional, trustworthy and skilled. He is present on site the whole time, doing the majority of the building work himself. Where additional tradesmen were required he was able to use his contacts and arranged their visits. He is able to think on his feet and deal with the unforeseen problems that arise with renovations. The project stayed within budget and was completed on time. All in all, I couldn't be more pleased with his work, and also the value for money. Highly recommended."
