we have a bungalow with a flat roof and want to build three bedrooms and a small bathroom . we have a flat roof at the moment and want a tiled roof over the new extension if we get planning permission. i have plans and we have applied for planning permission I have had a quote for 35 k
Dont really know where to start fantastic team they workes so hard and even at the end any extras that I requested they were happy to complete> We had a two bedroom extention on a bungalow and was given a good price in fact the price was that good I was a bit concerned if it may end up costing me more as I have heard so many bad stories of people pricing up then costing them so much more . The work was of a good quality and the builders always cleaned up after .

We want them along our hallway which has the bathroom and three bedrooms leading off and is very dark as no windows within the hallway. We wish to put a range cooker in our kitchen in the chimney breast.
To provide sufficient overhead clearance we need to take the lintel of the chimney breast up by 2 courses of bricks but, for aesthetic reasons, we would choose up by 5 courses. Inside the chimney the chimney becomes half the width of the breast just 1 course above current position, I suspect to allow space for the chimney for the upstairs room. I think the job is therefore to safely remove part of the internal chimney stack, raise the lintel by 5 courses and drill through the side of the breast to provide a vent for an extractor hood.
We also need to get a price for moving and enlarging a window. It is timber frame house which we belive is frame, weatherboard, pebbbeldash then render.
