Put pitched roof on existing porch. Knock down second porch and brick up wall. Remove a hearth and brick up a fireplace. Remove brickwork under and around an inglenook fireplace. make good plastering where plaster has been cut into to place electrical wires.
Requested money up front for skip. Estimated completion of 1 week, after 2 weeks nothing done save for on days labour smashing brickwork. Had to change locks on house after lack of response to communication attempts. Returned to collect tools and apologised promising rubble would be cleared utilising the money already provided for skip. 3 weeks later we have done this ourselves having heard nothing.

Roof from reclaimed tiles, on 25mm thick battens on multifoil roof insulation on 25mm thick cross battens to give a 25mm air gap below the foil. The whole on breathable roof overlay fixed to trusses. Eaves sealed with timber barge board, with stainless steel ventilation strips to underside of roof felt. Wall construction double skin block 7.3 newtons with 50mm insulation and 50mm air gap capped at top with a block on its side. Plastic cavity tray as dpc 150 above ground level. Floor slab 200 deep in 30 newton concrete on type “A” damp proof membrane as defined by BS EN 13967: 2004. All on compacted hardcore 150 deep blinded with soft sand. Foundations 700 wide by 300 deep on good ground. Door opening 5000 wide by 2400 high with minimum 230 clearance to underside of truss. Side Door opening 850 x 2090 to take 762 by 1981door (Kershaws Door Warehouse or similar). Roof windows nominal 1200 tall by 600 wide by Velux or similar with 1000 underfelt collar and transverse drainage gutter. Gutters to be 114 mm square line pvc with matching drain pipe.
