Job Just exchanged contracts on a 1980s 2 bed bungalow in Pinchbeck, it will be vacant until updated. The job is : Knock down a small internal wall between a loo and larder which are off the kitchen/utility room. remove tiles and make good, then convert new single room into a shower room with loo and sink, having blocked up one of the two doorways. Co-ordinate with heating engineer (to be arranged) who will be replacing the boiler to fit a new radiator in the shower room. I dont believe the internal wall (1.8m) to be knocked down is load bearing. I have also placed a job on this website to redecorate all 6 rooms. I have also placed a job to get quotes to replace the boiler on this site. I would like someone to do/manage all these as one ideally, so would welcome an optional quote on this other work as well as the work to create the shower room. There is also a kitchen to be installed (from B&Q, chosen but not ordered yet), that I currently plan to install myself to make the money go further but would welcome an optional quote to do the kitchen installation. there is also a bathroom that will need re-doing top to bottom, i was planning to wait on this bathroom but if i can get it done at the same time as the rest then i will, subject to how far my budget stretches.

Comment Gary and Mark from CLN completely refurbished top to bottom a bungalow we bought for my wife's father to live in, they were very accommodating and flexible, they started work fast, we are very happy with the quality of work and they kept us informed on progress with pictures and phone calls. As the property was vacant we gave them the keys and left them to it, 7 weeks later returned to have a look, very happy. They also lined up other trades like the boiler replacement at a better price than us doing it separately and we were much happier with their Howdens supplied kitchen than if we had gone to B&Q. I would recommend them and use them again. David

Comment Sorry for taking so long in giving our ratings on the job you done for us, As for the work you did for us, we are very pleased, you had the job done all in one day, which was, for us a bonus, as my Husband didnt want to take no more time of work. The chimney looks so much better, and hopfully the leak has been sorted, as we have not had much rain to speak of, I can only assume that the problem we had has been fixed, a big thank-you for the quick response on getting the job done. Budget Over £30,000

Job Add a family room, 2 bedrooms and shower room, ground floor extension to a bungalow. Plans passed, funds available from Building Society (upon completion). Building to be completed ready to decorate.

Comment Whilst we have been happy with the workmanship (in the main) they have left us high and dry with our job incomplete. Was it because we paid up front for the last stage of works? We don't know because they have not responded to phone, text or letters for the last 8 weeks! We are about £2000 out of pocket, have drains unfinished, piles of rubble and mud, and a utility room that is just a shell. We have had to take legal advice and have involved Trading Standards in an attempt to either get the job finished or the balance of our money back. Unfortunately we cannot rate any higher because the job is not finished and right now there seems little prospect of them finishing it. EXTREMELY frustrating, annoying and costly! Peter
