would like a front door fitted and new porch built.
Fantastic job, very friendly, reliable and clear about costs. Exceeded our expectations in building a front door canopy, fitting a new boiler room door, repairing guttering, fascia, and repairing a flat roof.anna
I need an old false ceiling removed and an existing thin artex ceiling also removed (this will pretty much fall down on it's own!) new ceiling put up (2 layers of plasterboard due to being a flat), re-skimmed then 4 x Halegen spots chosen and put in place (1 of which is over a shower so will need appropriate fitted there!) then repainted White and any walls that will need it. All debris cleared. This is an insurance dealt job so I will be looking for 3 x quotes. Thanks
If only there were extra stars to rate this firm! I would have no hesitation what so ever in recommending LWD. 1. Estimate/quote was very fare and the only firm not to give me the hard sell!. 2. The guys that turned up were very polite and treated my property with the up most respect. They protected all areas to be worked in which is always a concern when having jobs like this done. 3. Greg and Kriss worked like absolute trojans all day long and every day! 4. The foreman (Luke) came around daily to drop off materials and to check on progress. 5. Any questions were always answered clearly and honestly! 6. The job was completed well on time (Earlier than expected in fact) and all debris was removed from site as agreed. 7. Greg came on the last day to decorate and yet again.. did a terrific job. He also spent a good hour cleaning all areas that the guys had worked upon. 8. To sum up... LWD are the most professional team of workers I have come across and would not have a problem using them again... Very very efficient. Thank you LWD. If anyone would need to contact me for references or photos then please feel free.

wooden panels were removed to get at a cistern and one or two of these need replacing, with attendant making good to ceiling and panel. The area can then be decorated.
very good - got straight on with the job and cleared up afterwards. Recommend him without hesitation. Martin
upper story walls are sagging, ground floor ceiling will need to be removed to access the current joist and then some steel support fitted and anchored into existing ground floor walls across a 2.5m gap
Polite hard working, they did what they could to minimise the disruptionGreg
I am looking for someone work on an insurance piece of work to replace all the laminate flooring throughout a 2 bedroom flat (which includes hallway, kitchen, large lounge, 2nd bedroom). The job also includes repairing the a small hole in the bathroom ceiling where the majority of the leak came through and repairing minor water damage on the hall ceiling and walls (most likely painting). I would also like the electrics to be checked as the water was pouring off the hall lights. Finally, even though the bathroom tiles and floor appear to be fine if possible I would like these checked.
Ideally I am looking for someone to cover all of the above tasks, including supplying the replacement flooring, but am willing to be flexible here.
In summary a great job well done. - Layne and his team completed the job on time and on budget to a very high quality. I would readily engage LSI again to do any future work I need and would more then happily recommend them to anyone else looking to get high spec work done.
- Layne provided a detailed quote up front which considering the work covered by insurance meant a property adjuster would have final say on whether we could progress or not and having such a detailed quote eased the path considerably. During the quoting process Layne was very clear on what was include and what optional extras I could have and how much they would likely cost me as well as how long the whole job would take - allowing me to budget the job as a whole and not be surprised at the end.
- Further LSI also recommended local suppliers to me where I didn't have preferred ones and those they recommended would often match or beat the prices of unknown internet suppliers and because there was already a relationship between LSI and them I had confidence the quality I was looking for was there.
- During the actual work (which took approx. 4 weeks) the team always arrived on time and were polite and left each evening after tidying up first minimising any impact to me. Each step of the job and its progress was explained as well any problems encountered (largely due to 3rd party suppliers, not the ones recommended by LSI). The team also worked late in order to stay on track and work around the problems but never without discussing the options with me first.
- A real sign of the pride taken was that we would regularly inspect the work completed and anything I wasn't completely happy with would be discussed and any corrective action taken - this went on right up until the final inspection on the final day when the entire job was completed. As a result of the clearly experienced team the overall quality of the work not only fantastic but exactly what I had been hoping for....a great job well done.Rob
Fitting a steel gel firebox into an existing fireplace (no gas or electricity involved). Some plastering and skirting work also required around fire mouth.
Excellent job. Was fast, efficient and completed the job to a high quality standard. Would definitely use him again for a similar job. Miatta
Really just a handyman job - probably about half a day's work, mainly drilling to put things up on walls - shelves, TV wall brackets, two roller blinds, and some pictures.
Very efficient and very good quality work, friendly and helpful - would certainly recommend and will be saving the contact details for the future.Emma

Unsold Job, Updated Details : We would very much like to restore our fireplace to its former glory. The fireplace was taken out by the previous occupants (with the chimney breast plastered over and they used the chimney breast as a home for all their electrics - not to mention their plasma screen. We need someone to repair the chimney breast (basically where the plasma holes went right through), check the rest of the chimney out and help us get the chimney working again. There are electrics points in the hole where the fireplace would have been and these would need moving back to their original location (although we appreciate this may require an alternative contractor). Thanks. Original : We would very much like to restore our fireplace to its former glory.
