Tim is trustworthy and a pleasure to work with. He worked very well throughout the build. Showed up everyday at 8am. Nothing was rushed. I have worked with many builders before, and know what to look for. This was quality work, that met my high spec requirements. It looks great, inc huge roof light and a few months on there are no leaks or problems. I would certainly recommend Kowhai carpentry, and would like to work with him again.
I am opening a new restaurant, and want to update the current premises.
Breaking partition walls down, laying polished concrete, 1 wall back to bare bricks, other walls plastered, moving toilets from ground floor to basement, fitting bar & kitchen, creating simple storage in basement
Rimi and his team have been amazing!
I have just open my first restaurant, and they did a really great job at refurbishing it. Most of all, the service received was top quality. Ther also work in a very clean way, by taking away all rubbish & scrap behind them. Rimi really understood my needs, and was always happy to help. Very flexible approach.
They also completed the job quicker than planned!
I really trust Rimi and his team and will certainly call him again if i need.
Creation of concrete stairs down to basement flat according to plans approved by local planning.
Axel was precise and thorough in his assessment of the requirements for the job, and spent considerable time studying it beforehand. His approach inspired confidence, and the execution was of good standard, attractive - and completed on schedule. He and his co-worker Jerry were also very courteous and attentive to my requirements, and good company to have in the home while the work was ongoing. I would recommend them highly to family and friends.
No plans, just knocking through and puttting a steel in place.
The best experience of a builder you can have. Simon came to do the quote, explained what we could and could not do, clearly and simply. We wanted the beam as far into the ceiling as possible, he clearly told us what others were unable to do, that due to the direction of the joists we would only be able to do certain things.
When onsite they arrived, protected the floor and the surrounding area, put up a sheet to collect all the dust from flying around, the lads even took their shoes off to come down stairs to ensure the rest of the house stayed clean. The work was finished to a great standard, I am very fussy with that sort of thing and we had no gripes at the end. The entire area was plastered brushed and mopped, floor undamaged anywhere and gleaming and our two small rooms were now one large one. Very happy and will use Simon again. 100% recommendation.
Remove one wall to open out kitchen approx 3m x 2m. Knock out wall to remove understairs cupboard.
Pat has done a fantastic job for us and I have no hesitation in recommending him to others. He has worked hard throughout and is always reliable and on time. He has been particularly good at talking through plans and making suggestions so that we have always known what to expect when the job is finished. His work is of a high standard and we're really pleased with the end result. He is very friendly and knowledgeable and has been a pleasure to work with. He has been responsive and coped well with additional work that was not foreseen - and has worked well alongside my father!

We manage over 150 property’s mostly in East London (Hackney) but also a few in Central and West London. We require an experienced builder to handle some of our maintenance issues. We also manage whole blocks and do a lot of whole house/flat refurbishments.
Your company will meet the following requirements:
• Experience - We require experienced tradesmen who are problem solvers and won’t require multiple visits by different personnel to fix a problem.
• Quality assurance - You will need to stand over your work and work with us when repairs don’t go as planned.
• Accreditations & Insurance - We need the company and tradesmen to have all the necessary accreditation's and insurance.
• Emergency call outs - We need a company that can attend the occasional emergency evening and weekend call out
• Price - The price needs to be competitive and reflect the high volume of work we will be sending your way.
• Communication - One of our most important requirements. We need detailed reports of all work carried out when you attend any issue. We also need any follow up work booked and confirmed with us as soon as possible so we can let the tenants and landlords know when they will be resolved. Email will be the main channel of communication. This is the main reason we are seeking a new builder, our existing contractors whilst competent, simply do not communicate effectively enough and some follow up works slip through the cracks only to emerge weeks later in full blown complaints from tenants. Once we send through an issue we need it to be managed from start to finish and for us to be kept informed at every stage.
• Invoicing - We require detailed invoices to show landlords.
We are looking to build a relationship that will make our jobs easier, keep landlords costs to a minimum and be financially rewarding for our new partner. If you think you would be interested let me know and we can take it from there.
