Unsold Job, Updated Details : The flat is in a block built in 2004. The bathroom floor area is about 2 metres squared. Original : The chipboard underflooring in my bathroom needs to be replaced. A flood a while ago has caused it to become soft and rotten. The floor appears to be chipboard with plywood on top, and then lino.
Mr Ahmad did an excellent job replacing my bathroom floor. He is friendly and reliable, I will definitely recommend him to friends.Sandy
Basic fit out for an RSPCA charity shop including fitting a suspended ceiling.
Great problem solvers! We have been consistently impressed with VBS's work and now use them regularly. They are friendly, helpful, unflappable and work to a high standard and to deadline. jenny
Hello
I'm looking for quotes for the following please:
The proposed works are to install a flank wall beam and upgrade the single storey lean-to at the rear of my property from a temporary to a permanent structure of similar size with proper foundations approved by Building Control in compliance with Building Regulations.
I have a specification of works and full drawings from a structural engineer which detail exactly what is required. If you're interested please let me know and I can email you a copy.
Regards
T
B&P where really friendly and keen. The work was just for a quote though, so now work has been carried out so far.
The quote is very competitive though and the builder seemed very knowledgable.Tristan
To dig a trial pit in the kitchen of my house in order for my structural engineer to inspect the foundations of the house.
Foreste were really efficient. They contacted me really quickly and they started work the next morning. They also gave a competitive quote for some further work and noticed a mistake in a specification of one of the drawings which impressed the engineer who had drawn them!Tristan
I have a decorative victorian fireplace in the chimney but it was not installed to light fires in it. It needs back filling and cementing in place so that the fire will draw properly.
These builders were excellent in all respects. They kept their appointment on time, they came to do the work on time, they were very clean and tidy, finished the work in less time than they estimated. Their price was very reasonable and I would recommend them to anyone and I would certainly use them again myself.Barbara
In the lounge, fireplace to be inserted in bricked-up chimney. Chimney will need to be cleared and also a stone 'shelf' on the floor in the base of the chimney breast will need to be removed and floor made good. I have the new fireplace etc. In the bedroom there is a bricked up chimney breast and I would like this knocked through in line with where the fireplace would have been as much as possible to create more floor space.
Gary did a great job installing a fireplace. He was friendly, reliable, trustworthy and gave a fair price. I would definitely recommend him to others, and would use his services again.Lorna

Our kitchen looks amazing - it has been transformed. We are delighted. Tony was polite, professional, helpful & easy to work with. Gary & Darren were also great guys & kept us amused! They are the first builders I have ever heard of that actualy cleaned where they worked when we needed to neaten things up for guests. They had an excellent understanding of what we wanted & ensured this was delivered without any nasty surprises or mistakes. Highly recommendedKaty

Updated : Plans need drawing up but the layout is already worked out in our minds Original : Looking to extend into the side return of a victorian property. Dimensions of the return to extend are approx 4m x 1.5m. Will also involve knocking out wall from existing kitchen to the return and opening out from the rear reception room to the return. Looking for an inspection quote that would include glass rear doors and 2-3 velux windows on a pitched roof. In addition we would want electric underfloor heating fitted throughout.
To the rear of the kitchen is a bathroom which will need refitting.
We understand that according to current planning regs no permission is required and the neighbour has already extended.
We have not purchased the property yet so are looking for advice and quotes in the East End of London
