Battersea Builders did an excellent job of redecorating a large Soho apartment and their team were a pleasure to work with.
Refurbishment of a 1 bedroom flat, including new bathroom, new kitchen, new floors throughout and perhaps moving some internal wall
I carried out a full refurbishment of a one bedroom flat. The house had had subsidence and the walls and floors were uneven. Nick carried out work to straighten the floors and walls. I also had underfloor heating installed and refurbished completely the bathroom and kitchen. Nick completed the job on time and on budget and the quality of the finished product is superb. Nick is very reliable. He really cares about the work he does and that reflects on the quality of the end product.
Removal of ~2m section of an internal load bearing wall between our kitchen and living room. It is on the lower ground floor of a 3 story property in Kennington.
I have calculations and drawings completed by a Structural Engineer defining the size of RSJ required.
I need a builder that can remove the internal wall while working with Southwark building control and acquiring the necessary certificate at the end of the work.
The opening will need to be plastered but not painted and a radiator that currently sits on the wall will need to be removed and the pipes cut back to the end of the new opening (but no radiator will be installed)
I need someone that is able to start asap - preferably week commencing 27th June subject to the building notice application being made. Timing: Urgently
I had a great experience with Alexander and the Elevations team. Communication was excellent throughout and Alexander really took the time to understand the job and explain all the risks before work began. I was also given excellent advice on navigating the building control process that helped immensely.
The team were very professional and hard working and made every effort to minimize dust and disruption throughout the process.
the waste piple in bathroo has leaked causing minimum damage to ceiling, both need to be repaired
I didn't use them ... as they didn't know what they were talking about - including their suggestion to remove part of the ceiling and repair a pipe, which infact wasn't causing problems. They were also very expensive
I used Geoff Morgan instead,

I was very impressed by the professionalism of A to Z Building Construction. Starting with the quote which detailed every job separately and allocated a price to it rather than a lump sump figure or day-rates of other quotes. The small team working on my refurbishment job was highly sufficient, fast and did a very good job. The same work another builder quoted me 28 days for they finished in astonishing 6.5 days. I can strongly recommend them and would not hesitate to use them again. I'm very glad finally to have found a tradesman who doesn't rip you off.

I asked Mr Kowal From MKT to do my flat in Sutton and he did a complete shumble. The job was to tile the bathroom change sink tile floor and walls install pump for water pressure and tile kitchen wall. I ended up with a bathroom where i could not flash the water, the pressure pump constantly going as they did not regulate the pressure, and all the tiling will soon come out as the grout they put is coming off . I recomend that you strike him off your website and if you are interested I can send you the report from a plumbing company that had to repair the damage and pictures of the tiling disaster. He is a rip off.

In terms of work required, I can already forsee the following jobs that needs to be done:
1. Install new services for the toilet, wash basin, and shower tray.
2. Install new gas combination boiler.
3. Install gas supply to the hob.
4. Install water supply to kitchen sink, wash basin and show unit.
5. Re-level the floor.
6. Re-plaster the entire room.

8. Install new fitted kitchen.
Ideally the work will be carried out from the beginning of February 2007.
I would like a quote for the labour cost, and the basic materials. I intend to supply the main bathroom and kitchen units.
Absolutely fantastic! A joy to work with. Quality workmanship. Very flexible and creative. Highly recommended.
