I'm moving into a 10 year old terraced town house on Friday 26/7. At the moment the front door opens to an entrance hall and there is a study off of it. I need the study walls (stud walls) knocked out to open up the ground floor to an open plan living area. There is also a WC that I need to make smaller (knock down stud wall, rebuild & relocate sink) on the ground floor. Then, wooden floor to be laid. On the 1st floor I need an ensuite remodelled and refitted to change the door from one end to the other so that it opens onto a different room. This will mean a refit of the shower/toilet/sink. On the 2nd floor is a double room which used to be 2 single rooms. I need it to be put back to 2 singles (door knocked back through, separating wall put back up. Thanks I would like the tradesman to supply all fittings/materials

Remove fireplace frame and board (covering centre) and fill to level wall. (Not sure how big the hole is and if any brick laying is required as plasterboard is covering the centre with an plastic air vent)

We have a small four storey Georgian Town House. The top floor requires new floor, plaster, wall removed, reconfiguartion, en suite created. The first floor requires same to create a living room plus toilet and requires existing bathroom removed. The ground floor requires a door to be blocked up, and arch to be created and new fllor and plaster. Two flights of stairs need replacing.

Unsold lead, updated details: Modification to one level ground floor apartment. Property approx 10-15 years old. Repairs to main room which is kitchen/lounge. Not a large area. Original: The floor in the flat is now starting to bubble and peel quite badly and it's only a matter of time before it breaks. The builder did say it was probable that this would happen. Would you be able to get someone to take a look at it please?
The builder fixed the leak in the washing machine but may not have left sufficient time for the walls to dry before painting. As a result, a bit of wet/mould has come through the walls where the washing machine is and into the living room.

I am not sure if I have chosen the right category. ALSO, I HAVE NO IDEA OF THE COST, AND JUST PUT IN A FIGURE IN THE BUDGET AS REQUIRED BY THE RATEDPEOPLE FORM. I ACTUALLY NEED A QUOTE. The job description is as follows: There has been damp in a kitchen wall adjacent to the back garden. Damp proofing surveyor has ruled out rising damp. The damp is definitely associated with rain fall. When there is a period of rain, the wall becomes damp and even saturated. If there is a prolonged dry period, it dries out. The back garden floor adjacent to the wall is paved with stone slabs. The slabs join the external side of this wall and there is no space between them. It has been suggested that the reason for the damp may be that rain water on the slabs seeps into the wall above the damp proofing course. Suggested remedies have included creating a space between the wall and the garden floor slabs and filling it with shingles or fitting Accroo Drain (ACO Drain?) to carry away water from the base of the wall. I would like to know you opinion and how to go about it.

We have a mid terrace townhouse in Wapping (with secure off street parking for van etc..). We want to connect the first floor sitting room to the raised garden to the rear via a terrace/walkway from a french window. Would consider steel and glass or wood/decking as options depending on price. Plans and planning consent would be needed (I think) although house next door has done something on a far greater scale, so should be granted. The terrace/walkway area is roughly 9 sq metres and will need about 3 steps down to the garden. Many thanks
