On advice of a structural engineer, we need to have the right hand wall of the house tied to the structure of the house at at ceiling/ floor level with galvinised metal straps to avoid further movement in the main elevation to the side of the house. We will then require some internal plastering of some craks etc. related to the movement of the wall. We also need to get the driveway replaced but may consider that as a seperate quotation.

The bottom row of tiles in the shower cubicle became loose. After removing the tiles it was clear that the plasterboard was damp and coming away. There may be a leak from the shower connection in the wall. Remove another couple of rows of tiles or as necessary to reach dry plaster; remove plasterboard panel and replace. Replace tiles.
We had a leak that had started in one bathroom and passed through plasterboard walls into another bathroom requiring the replacement of tiles and parts of the walls. Martin was not the cheapest quote that we had, but he did his best to attend without delay and completed the job within one day to our satisfaction.

Knock through the wall between the kitchen and dining room - possibly the whole wall, or retain the bottom half of the wall to keep base units - will take advice!
A great building team! A fair-priced quote, they turned up on time, as promised, they were always on the end of a phone to answer any questions and completed a very messy job with the minimum of mess in the time they specified at the start. Very good quality work too. Would not hesitate to use again or recommend.

Are you confident enough to have your work filmed for BBC TV’s “Homes under the hammer” programme? I have bought a 3 bed semi in Fallowfield (900 sq ft) which requires general updating and modernising to a good owner occupier standard. In particular it needs: New kitchen, including knocking through to dining room, about 1.6m opening, and maybe removing chimney from opposite wall. New cloakroom to be installed “under the stairs”. Refit bathroom to include power shower over bath. Move central heating boiler and install additional radiator and towel rail. My budget for the labour and building materials is £7000 but this does not include the cost of the kitchen units, worktops, appliances, bathroom suite and tiles. I will supply these but am happy to consider sourcing these through you. The property will be unoccupied, but with services connected, until the work is finished. I complete the purchase on 8 March and will be able to show prospective contractors around the property from Friday 9 March, including weekends if preferred. Upon completion I shall be happy to provide testimonials, references and the use of photographs for your future marketing. Looking forward to hearing what you can do.

It needs to have a slanted roof on it to stop the water from settling and if there is a hole it needs fixing.
