Job Existing pebble-dashed wall has formed a bubble approximately 1-foot square which is crumbling and detaching from brickwork. Loose materials to be chipped away and invisible repairs to be made by resurfacing and re-pebble-dashing repaired area. The house is a 1930s semi located in Twickenham.

Job We want to knock through the supporting wall from the dining room to the living room, put an RSJ in and make good.

Comment When Dave came round to quote he was on-time and very knowledgeable which set me to ease straight away, he suggested things that I hadn't even thought about (like keeping skirting board and pictures rails to match the room) and advised me on each step of the job. His quote was precise and factual and a good price for everything we were getting done. Dave fitted me into the workload really quickly and the guys who came to do the job were really good, professional and friendly. They turned up at 8am each day and worked through to 6pm ensuring that they had achieved what they had planned for each day. They finished the job to a high standard in a short period of time and cleaned up after themselves at the end of every day. My husband said they also gave him advice on the DIY he was doing and he really appreciated hearing how to do it from people who obviously knew what they were doing. I would definitely recommend FC Management for any works you've got (in fact I've got them coming back to quote again this week for additional things I need doing). Nikki

Budget Under £4,000

Job Builder left without finishing the job. We now have a plumber to finish that side of things, and are working to get a qualified electritian etc. However there are lots of little bits, in kitchen, cloakroom, garage conversion, outside that need finishing and making good. Need a quote and someone who can finish this asap. Starting in two weeks time.

Comment Manner was abrupt and rude. Workmanship was poor, especially with people he employed. He held up other tradespeople that I was using and caused expensive damage because of he did not do what he said he had. He promised to finish the work within 4 weeks and we signed a JCT type contract but just over a week later he kicked up a huge fuss and demanded more money that was due to him contractually. We did not pay him all he requested but he was paid 1k more. As soon as the money cleared he was gone. I then had his men come back to me demanding money and said that he had not paid them. I would not recommend this tradesman in any way. Be very careful. He was one of the hightest quotes and was still totally unreliable in such a large job. N

Job We have an old double garage which we would like to convert into a playroom/clean storage area. We think the structure is sound, but would like the garage door removed (or whole wall replaced, with windows) and a new roof with skylights. Electrical work is required (there is already electricity in the garage but needs made safe!) and then walls lining, ceiling put in etc. At the same time we would like some turfing/levelling work done on our garden, so if you also do this work please quote for that too.

Comment We are delighted with the work that Charlie has done, and have been continually impressed by his flexibility, work ethic, quality of work and tidiness. Because this was quite a large piece of work, it felt like Charlie had become part of the family and in a way we are sad to see the project complete! (especially our toddler, Lucy, who has picked up some DIY skills from watching Charlie -never too early). We would not hesitate in recommending Charlie, and have indeed done so to some neighbours already. He really is a pleasure to have around and is a rare find we think! Suzie
