Hi, I would like a good size conservatory built, however I will need to create a door in my kitchen, for it to lead out to, because I already have a lean too that leads to the garden and would not be practical to lead onto conservatory. Can pay cash for this and want it done before Xmas. I will need some decking and some other odd jobs done in the house. Builder to start ASAP for the right price. thanks Mrs Georgiou
Nice looking conservatory. Very happy to deal with again. Thank youMiri
I need someone to take out the built in wardrobes and chimney breast in the upstairs bedroom (already removed from downstairs). The walls then need to be made good for decorating and the chimney remain structurally safe.
The work was carried out in a clean and professional manner. Kevin and his staff were helpful and friendly, and all work undertaken was to a good standard and good value for money. Kevin was very knowledgeable in dealing with Building Control. We would have no hesitation in recommending Kevin to other people, including family and friends.Ronald
Very reliable, good value, happy with the work. Collaborates well with other tradesmen and offer advice and suggestions. Sticks to deadline no messing about. The only criticism I would say is a written quotation should be offered, everything was trusted on verbal and hand shake agreements. Sometimes the communication was difficult to understand if I am being over critical but they are very co-operative.Marielle
Boyan did a fantastic job for me. His work is vary clean and tidy. He did exactly what i wanted to be done in my flat and he knows his work. He did even more than I ask for and corrected some works which weren’t done properly previously.
Boyan, thank you so much for putting a spark to my flat,
WILL ALWAYS RECOMMEND HIM.

James did an excellent job and also did some extra work to complete the original task. I have also asked James for quotes for some other work that I would like to be done and would have no hesitation in recommending James for any work.Sara

Do not hesitate to use John and the lads, they truly are fantastic tradesmen. I originally wanted a chimney breast knocked out but ended up extending the project to include laying a new wooden floor, decorating, moving radiators, installing plug sockets etc etc. I changed my mind about what I wanted on a daily basis and John was both understanding and really helpful with ideas about what would work and what wouldn't and his experience was really beneficial. The lads were reliable and totally trustworthy and I will never consider using another building firm again - do not hesitate to use these guys, you wo't be disappointed!!!Tim

I honestly can't find fault with Below Ground. They were prompt, efficient, reasonable and above all else completely trustworthy. So much so that we have now consulted them on several other jobs for the future - it is so great to find a builder you can rely on!Sarah

We are looking at renovating the whole house but, dependent on budget/cost, we are looking at breaking the project down into one room at a time.
We are incredibly pleased with the results Colin and Ricky delivered. My wife and I look forward to working with them on the many forthcoming projects. They are simply great guys that do a great job! They are trustworthy, flexible and above all had a fair price for the work. There are some seriously scary builders out there!!!
Colin and Ricky were my primary contacts, however, different people were brought in to augment their capacity and where specialist aspects were required. Alfred did the re-wiring/down lights and Donovan for the plastering. The results were of a very high standard in both instances. I especially liked Alfred and his brother.
Colin priced up and agreed the work. They finished the job on time, to budget and of an exceptional good quality. They were entrusted with keys to our property only a couple of weeks into the project that helped facilitate the progress of the work. They instil trust and confidence.
I would like to thank Colin, Ricky and his brother David (Uri), Alfred and his brother Roy and Donovan for their patience and great results! Here are some additional details regarding the project and good luck - you will need it ...
Project Overview
The project was initiated to improve the look and feel of the house. This was achieved by provisioning high quality wood flooring, resurfacing the walls and ceilings to make them smooth, clean and provide straight lines. Changing the lighting with down lights to provide for a more contemporary feel.
Scope of the project included: taking down and replacing the ceilings, plastering the ceilings and walls, re-wiring the house for down lights, painting and decorating, laying new solid 18mm oak flooring, replacing skirting, taking the kitchen floor down and laying tiling. This also involved moving appliances and putting them back.
The only issue was the tiling in the kitchen but, in fairness, I am a perfectionist and this was down to the fact that the kitchen floor had to be raised to the level of the dining room - which were very misaligned to begin with. It is still a very good finish though and has added value to the kitchen!
Lessons Learned & things that helped me:
Paid some up front - staged all other payments on delivery - and the remainder at the end.
Be available to make decisions and ensure quality
Know up front what it is you intend doing and do not keep changing your mind. (It costs!!)
Whatever you budget - as a first timer - add 30% contingency just in case.

I need my external bay windows (sills and pillars) repaired and re-painted. One of the pillars will need rebuilding completely. I also would want a quote to have the front of the house repainted at the same time.

exterior kitchen wall has a crack running from above back door up to bathroom window which is directly above kitchen. The bathroom was added in the 1970s. It was originally a bedroom. The window was put in at the same time.Cracks have also begun to appear in the bathroom along the same wall. The old lathe/plaster ceiling in the bathroom has fallen and needs re plastering, also the kitchen needs re plastering. ( walls and ceiling)The house was built in 1899 and insurers told us that it's wear and tear due to age- not structural.
