Removal of a chimney breast from lounge and bedroom above, including support for remaining stack in the loft
Great guys, great work, a pleasure to deal with. I couldn't recommend them highly enough. Remove 2 built-in cupboards in the kitchen. They may be supporting walls, I couldn't tell, so needs checking.
Also, close off 1 kitchen side door (brick wall).
Tomasz is the best builder I ever dealt with. He came to do some structural work in my kitchen, but ended up doing a lot; removing existing cupboards, closing off external door, plastering, painting, tiling and fitting new kitchen! He also fitted new wooden floor in 2 reception rooms, hallway and kitchen (700 sq ft) and then did my bathroom; fitting toilet, basin and full tiling. He is extremely professional and the quality of the work is exceptional! I seriously can't thank him enough! Highly recommended!!
Updated : Bay window in 1st floor bedroom has large cracks to each side. Have been advised that it needs steel strapping applied. Bedroom also needs plastering but this will be done at later date, so just chasing out and steel strapping needed at the moment. Original : bay window strapping for 1st floor bedroom window

We need a second bathroom and want to extend our downstairs cloakroom (internal dimensions 120D x 80W) into the adjoining understairs cupboard (110D x 80W) to give us a shower cubicle. Since the wall needs to be removed, can an RSJ beam be inserted?
Darren was given the task of turning a small cloakroom and an adjoining cupboard under the stairs into a second bathroom and we are very pleased with the finished result. Darren was very good at listening to what we wanted, advising us of alternative approaches and how best to achieve them. Not everything worked perfectly the first time, but Darren always responded quickly to ensure we were satisfied with the outcomes. i need to build a plinth to positon a concrete garage on as i need to make the garage approx 12" taller so that our van will fit. the garage will be 18' 6"long x 14'6" wide. there is already an existing concrete base which is pretty much level apart from one corner where it slopes away very slightly.
I am impressed with gordon. he was punctual and polite and completed the job to a good standard. he was competitive on price and always willing to advise.
we have had a minor problem since but gordon was more than happy to return and rectify the problem, and i am now very satisfied with the outcome. I would recommend mpm builders to friends and family with no hesitation at all.
I require a 6m by 3m outbuiding built at the end of my garden. I don't mind if it is brick built or breeze block with outside render. I require it to have an internal wall to split the building in two and have two seperate entrances and one window. A flat roof is required to keep it below the required 2.5m height.
Job not completed fully as agreed and yet told it was by the builder. Quality of the finish average in places and not acceptable in others.

Builder has been working on renovation from Sept 08, worked fine until a couple of weeks ago, even gave the same builder another large flat conversion job and recommended him, he has now disappeared and not answering any calls, he has left both jobs unfinished, have spoken to his sub contractors and suppliers, he has not paid them either, also spoken to other customers who's jobs have been left unfinished. He has taken the money and gone.

Having recently moved into new house. I need to renovate the house with particular focus on dismantling the current conservatory, then build a new Kitchen/Diner/Utility/Toilet area with a bedroom on top of this. In addition to this I require a new porch, electrical, carpentry and new radiators. Timing: ASAP
Ground floor masionette, rear bedroom bay window. We have black mould on the inside walls under the windows. It has been tested and confirmed that we do not have rising damp, however we have been told there is an airflow problem and it has been suggested to have some air bricks installed. We are after a builder to install these, as well as a potential further air brick for the bathroom.
Re-instate lead flashing to 2 no. chimneys, repair pointing to 2 no. chimney stacks.
Also trace and remedy cause of water damage to external wall. (probably caused by defect in soil and vent pipe on the outside of the wall)
