We want to convert our single storey garage to a free standing gym. So looking for the neccesary wall/ceiling insulation, floor levelling and electrics (lighting, wall socket). As we are converting to a gym, i'm hoping to avoid building regs. If you have good references and examples of similar work, please give us shout

Rebuild a small garage - part attached to the house. Requiring possible new foundations, 1 side wall, front elevation only - with new lintel, frame & doors, brick work to match house. New flat roof with sky light. Part rear elevation to contain door/window casement for access. The remaining side and part of the back wall are formed by the main house structure. New threshold to front of garage to negate surface water.
After having the side wall of the house re-rendered, and two windows replaced, we have damp areas under the top window. We have tried contacting the builder who undertook the work, but he no longer calls himself a builder, and does not respond to phone calls or E'mils. The wall was re-rendered because damp was penetrating the wall from a double glazed window, fitted some years ago, causing the plaster to blow and crumble from the inside wall. The affending window has been replaced, but a problem still exists, although in a different position.
Would like floor insulation carried out. I live in a bungalow.
Floor boards seem to have collapsed in back corner of room by old external wall and conservatory.
Need someone to check for damp and possibly fix /replace floorboards.
