Job Small hatch (1m x 0.5m) between kitchen and living room to be filled in (brick), plastered/finished. Internal double doors (2m x 2m) to be replaced with brick wall, plastered and finished between living and dining room. Small strip of splashback in kitchen ( formica, glued on,150cm high, 2cm thick, along 5m stretch of wall) to be removed and wall plastered/made good.

The job turned out to be more complicated than originally thought but he sorted it out effortlessly without charging extra. The quality of the work, in particular the plastering, was excellent. Budget I'm not sure

Job We have a bay window that we want to fit a curtain pole up. The issue is that the brackets have to go into the ceiling and we believe that there is a piece of steel or something very strong that we cannot drill through to get the right depth for the raw plug. We know it is possible to get the depth, due to the blinds that were previously up were screwed in to a similar depth that we are trying to achieve. However, our DIY skills and tools are such that it has beaten us. I imagine for an experienced builder with the right tools and knowledge it would probably be a couple of hours work. We would like the job done as soon as possible.
